Singletary Headed to London

To help promote their October 31 game against the Denver Broncos at Londno's Wembley Stadium, San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Singletary will visit London later this month, Matthew Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports.

Singletary, and perhaps a 49ers player, will arrive in London on July 17, and will spend two days with the media and touring the city.

The 49ers are the designated "home" team for the game, which will be the fourth consecutive year the NFL held their annual "International Series" game in Wembley Stadium.

In 2007, the New York Giants defeated the Miami Dolphins 13-10, and the New Orleans Saints beat the San Diego Chargers 37-32 during the 2008 season. Last October, the New England Patriots blew out the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 35-7.

The 49ers were the visiting team in the first of the "International Series" games, a 31-14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City in 2005.
