I think that what you'll see on offense is going to be just what we've seen the last several years: Motion, Misdirection, the Illusion of Complexity. Ball goes to the RB half the time. We'll run some jet sweeps and even have the TE carry the ball. We'll throw to Kraft. We'll throw some WR screens. And we'll demand that the opponent respects our ability to throw downfield.
As always, of course, we'll have to get people blocked.

Hopefully, they’ve taken a hard look at how they can keep the creativity flowing when the game gets tight. Especially from a coaching and playcalling standpoint. Too much recent evidence of things freezing up at crunch time. The choke job by Matt Ryan and the Falcons in the Super Bowl involved LaFluer and Shanahan. They’ve both continued to show those tendencies in their head coaching endeavors. Sadly.
I understand that other teams get paid and make adjustments. But we’ve been on the short end of these lapses too often in our recent playoff history. This season is big for LaFluer.

Well I ,like others , live in a world of misdirection and the illusion of complexity . And of course, I block people on line . The Packers should too!

what can you do when you have a QB throwing erratic throws, panicking when rushers get too closer?
slow legs, low IQ, fearful....
but Matt you said ok that 2020 April night when you gutey and Murphy decided to kick in the ass your HoF QB to trade up for this asshole.
so now survive this mediocrity.

It's the distortion...things must look a lot different from 5000 miles away.

I don't recommend bike riding through the Gavia Pass. It leaves one filled with hateful thoughts and a general malaise of mediocrity.

I usually don't listen to the videos but I did this one, and I think it's a great summary of the off-season and what's swirling around the offense.
What I found most interesting--and this was later in the reel, maybe 24:00--was Andy Herman talking about "zig" vs. "zag" with some teams using multi-TE sets as passing formations (see: Rams), and where the Packers are with it. This is something I've been intrigued by, and Andy basically says that if you don't have true Y TEs, this doesn't work, because you need guys who are a threat to block and a threat to catch passes...otherwise, if you've got Musgraves and Whyles who are not good run blockers, you're really not threatening run by going TE heavy. Several of us have been calling for another playable Y, and we get Luke Lachey who Andy essentially disregards, but the Packers paying Reed and Watson essentially signal running the other way from this league shift. No real discussion here on how the use of Kraft might shift if he signs a big contract.
Savion Williams and Watson both have size and can be outside blockers who bully DBs, but Golden and Reed are not. The Packers like to rotate WRs and WR groups, so I think we can project an expanded role for Williams...maybe we see more run-down personnel groupings with Watson-Williams?

That was Dusty Evely on the interview. He does a great job breaking things down. I’m like you and don’t watch the videos too often, but this was indeed a good one.
The Rams were forced to go multi- tight end formations because of the injuries to Pukka Nacua and Devonte Adam’s at the same time. But it showed some impressive ingenuity by McVay. And as you say, they had the dual threat personnel to run it. Having a healthy Kraft is gonna open things up immensely!! Will be interesting to see where the new personnel twists comes from. …Savion? Lloyd has hands too 😳
