I said in a previous post TT keeps the best 53; w/ a couple exceptions I feel he did just that. If DJ Williams was a 7th round pick or UDFA I'm not sure he makes the team. And if Z wasn't injured I'm not sure B. Jones makes the 53.

Thank you TT, I didn't want to watch Harrell standing on the sidelines wearing a visor and carrying a clipboard for 16 games when the roster spot could be used more effectively.

Is it me or does Tori Gurley win this years "Tyrell Sutton" award?

Thank you Ahmard Hall, w/o you its highly unlikely we get a draft choice for QJ.

Since this team was deep, a lot of pundits/fans thought TT should pckg picks to move up and get quality over quantity. Instead he does the opposite and 10 rookies make the squad, including 3 UDFA's. And so far in what I've read/heard it seems TT was right once again...when will we learn?

TT has potentially 13 picks in next years draft; our 7, and possibly 4 comp and 2 trade picks. The Q is how many picks does he really need when he usually finds a couple of UDFA keepers?

Signing off, I'm SO 'OTO here.

I agree that the final roster is not really set. Should be interesting, lots of LBs not many OL.

I wonder if some of these players are trade bait?

"...a lot of pundits/fans thought TT should pckg picks to move up and get quality over quantity. Instead he does the opposite and 10 rookies make the squad, including 3 UDFA’s. And so far in what I’ve read/heard it seems TT was right once again…when will we learn?"

I think that it really depends on what positions you are looking for. I think that TT will continue to find 3-4 OLBs, for example, because there are so many potential guys, and the transisiton from college 4-3 DE/OLB to NFL 3-4 OLB is so hard to predict, that there will be a lot of draft day misses. It is also not an uncommon body type - much like WR, DB, etc. But if you're looking for big boys with real talent, they are just fewer and farther between. This is why I was hoping for a switch to the 3-4 for years: it's one less talented big body you have to find for your DL. And durable? Packaging large and athletic is tough enough, throw in the abuse these guys have to put up with and then ask them to stay injury free and you know what you get. Obviously this is the draft, not an exact science. But when you look at all these UDFA rookies that have made such an impact last year, and hopefully this year, how many OL or DL UDFAs have made the team, much less made an impact? And yes, Sitton was a 4th rounder, but you look at the other anchors on the lines and you have Pickett, Raji, Clifton, and now apparently Bulaga - three first rounders and a second. I don't think it would hurt for TT to trade up next year, and I won't be surprised if he does it. And I don't think he's too dogmatic to do it.

Ted's not averse to trading up (Matthews anyone?), but I think the talent last season just wasn't there unless you were picking pretty high. That would have cost us a ton of picks, which, frankly, I'd rather have anyway.

Errr, by last season, I meant last draft.

So far it looks like trading up a couple spots to get Carimi instead of Sherrod might have been worth it, but time will tell.

Guess that depends on whether he's a dramatically better player or not. Right now they look about even.
