The Green Bay Packers have agreed to terms with first round draft pick Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, according to Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports.

Per OvertheCap.com, Clinton-Dix is expected to receive a four-year deal worth very close to $8.338 million. Although rookie deals are mostly predetermined through the NFL's slotting system, there is some wiggle room for negotiation.

The safety from Alabama will receive a signing bonus worth $4.384 million, along with cap numbers totaling $1.516 million as a rookie in 2014, $1.895 million in 2015, $2.274 million in 2016 and $2.653 million in 2017.

Under rules of the NFL's latest Collective Bargaining Agreement, the Packers will have the option to add a fifth year to the contract of Clinton-Dix, which they won't have to decide upon until after his third year in the NFL.

News of Clinton-Dix agreeing to terms with the Packers falls on the same day of the team's first open practice of the 2014 as part of the offseason Organized Team Activities (OTAs).

As several beat writers pointed out on Thursday, despite Clinton-Dix being a first round draft pick at a position without much depth, it was actually Micah Hyde that lined up with the first-string defense at practice.

How long that scenario lasts remains to be seen.
