Packers Calendar: Jermichael Finley Returns to Green Bay

The former Packers tight end will appear on the WFRV-TV's Locker Room on Tuesday evening.

Former Packers tight end Jermichael Finley returns to Green Bay on Tuesday, although not necessarily on Packers-related business.

According to host Burke Griffin via Twitter, Finley will be a guest on the Locker Room on WFRV channel 5 in Green Bay, where former teammate Ahman Green acts as co-host. The show airs live at 6:30 p.m. CT.

It's been long speculated whether Finley might return to the Packers, or any NFL team, in a football-playing capacity.

Finley suffered a serious neck injury in a game against the Cleveland Browns in October of 2013 and had subsequent spinal-fusion surgery.

During the offseason, Finley met with several teams, including the Packers, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers, none of which resulted in an contract agreement, although the Steelers reportedly made an offer.

Finley has a $10 million disability insurance policy, for which he reportedly could have filed a claim by now.

According to Tom Pelissero of USA Today:

Finley, 27, had his C-3 and C-4 vertebrae fused a month after suffering a spinal contusion Oct. 20 on a hit by Cleveland Browns safety Tashaun Gipson. He can file a claim to collect the insurance policy one year to the day after the injury if he hasn't played in four games.

Whether Finley has filed his claim or is still considering a return to football are questions that have gone unanswered in a public forum since the start of the football season. Maybe he'll address those questions this evening.

Fans are welcome to be part of the live audience for the airing of the Locker Room from Purcell's Lounge inside the Radisson Hotel in Green Bay. Details are availble on the show's website.

While most Packers players are leaving Green Bay during the bye week, quarterback Aaron Rodgers will still be hosting his weekly radio show on Tuesday.

Heard on the ESPN Radio affiliate in Milwaukee on 540 AM at 1:30 p.m. CT, Rodgers will likely address his hamstring injury and the team's latest loss to the New Orleans Saints. Tuesdays with Aaron can also be streamed online at ESPNWisconsin.com.

During the evening, Packers wide receiver Jared Abbrederis will make an appearance at the Kaukauna Raiders Youth Football Banquet at Van Abel's Supper Club in Hollandtown, Wis. from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., according to Packers.com.
