Sorrell stands out a bit in this draft class. He’s the player with the highest floor relative to his ceiling. Put another way, he’s the most ready to come in and play in a defined role and contribute but never be a true star due to his lack of elite burst, explosion or bend. Good, because we needed someone who can help elevate the back end of this group and he still adds flexibility over what we had (given that LVN hasn’t used his). Perhaps he can teach his hand technique to a few of his colleagues. He’s a good player, great character, good technique and has a great motor through the end of every play. We need a few good players rather than all might-be-great speculations out of the first half of drafts.
