First, I don't see us using/abusing a 4th or 5th round pick on a QB or WR. We won't pick either position until next year or late in this draft, unless if we still have 11 picks, or if we pick up more. The only way, and I mean the only way I take a WR in the 4th is if we have gained another 4th rounder by trading back earlier, or if Johnny Wilson-FLA State is still on the board. 6'6 240lbs and ran 4.52 @ the combine. If you watched the combine drills, Wilson looked great in all of them. He has great hands and catches everything. He blocks like a TE, but he could play both positions above average, so you are drafting one player for both positions. And we would have a really good hybrid we can use all over. It's overkill but it fits your scenario.

I have a late round sleeper in Josh Cephus-UTEP, if I have room for a WR, but maybe instead we take a good WR/excellent kick returner combo player late in the draft if we don't keep Nixon.

Does speed come into play in signing Fuller? He ran 4.6s at the combine. Otherwise, would Whitehead be a great FA Safety choice? He is faster with similar size and stats.

I think drafting a WR to create a future pipeline makes sense in 2025, not now. There's no way we can keep this stable. This roster has plenty of holes and weaknesses.

If he was super cheap, I would sign Jeremy Chinn if he was healthy. If we got him for $2 or $2.5 million per year, or some strong incentive laden contract, he would be an upgrade over last year. And he could play S and be a strong coverage LB version too. So he would fill 2 needs potentially. We need LBs too.

How is Chinn and upgrade at safety? Owens and Ford both had better passer rating allowed. Some Uber athletes just don't pan out in the NFL. Chinn sure looks like he's heading that way.

25 years old is probably a little early to be washed up, don't you think? He had over 100 tackles each of his first 2 years. 70 tackles in 11 games his 3rd year. He was hurt last year and Evero didn't think he fit his defense. Did Owens and Ford together have that kind of production. It's also an upgrade over Savage.

And maybe he plays hybrid LB too. Chinn is as big as a LB and would be one of the fastest too. I will bet he would be better in coverage than what we have at LB now. Oh, and did I mention he tackles really well. He also fits our youth movement.

Some NFL team is going to get a steal. Why not us?

I'm all in favor of Gutey stealing playmakers to round out our defense!

I love it! All except for #7, even though you may be right. Mr Magoo makes an excellent #3, and I don't see how you do better than Clifford at #2. This stable of WRs cannot all be retained past their rookie contract but there's no need there now, and starting the pipeline going again in 2025 is early enough. I'd much rather see excess depth added at OL, RB, DB, and LB.

Speaking of which if 4 S are added, I hope at least one of those is that hybrid LB / DB player we've read about. Maybe Hafley doesn't want that? We need Superman at S, #230 wouldn't hurt? As long as he's tall and fast.

I love that you show Cooper Dejean on the cover of your draft guide! Sorry it wasn't one of your 12 bold predictions that he'll be the Packs first round pick. I think Gutey may even trade up to get him if he sees someone else ahead of 25 that they think will snag him. Not sure he's an outside corner, slot or safety, but it doesn't matter - he's a game changer. He'll get picks and score on punt/kick returns, down punts inside the 5, anything and everything. Fans would absolutely love this guy.

You may be right, and he has proven to be a game-changer in multiple ways.

But I don't see Gutekunst using their 1st rounder on a player who broke his fibula in November, much less trading up to pick him.
Andy's O-Line prediction makes more sense, or maybe an edge drops to them. -JQ

My prediction is; if the packers don't beat the Lions
to the secondary guys. They won't make the playoffs.
