The Packers have added some upgrade pieces to the team in Hargrave, Moore, St Juste, and Franklin. None are huge moves, but this is what we can afford this year after wasting so much on Hobbs & Banks last year. Every one of those 4 players is an upgrade at their position, and Hargrave and Franklin will take over leadership roles on the team too. Vet leadership is something we have been lacking for years, and it's hard to put a price on what that could mean for GB this year.
The Packers are not done in free agency yet. After the draft we will assess what our needs are then, and sign a couple more reasonable additions that fill more holes. I am hoping for an April present after the draft, and that would be Clowney & Calais Campbell still being available and coming to wear Packer uniforms. Maybe another vet CB like Diggs if cheap & Healthy, or Rasul Douglas because he would be an would be an upgrade over present CBs too.
I still think the trade market could be in play for GB. Reed has been mentioned, but only if we got a solid price for him, maybe multiple picks. Wicks and Musgrave have been in the trade news as well, neither is an absolute need for GB and could be replaced/upgraded easily. Starting the draft with 10 picks would make it much easier to fill some of the additional needs @ TE, PL, 2nd CB, maybe RB.
