It's not only who you play but when and where in the NFL and historically the "where" has a clear pattern to it. "Home field" is. an advantage. All time the Packers lead the Steelers 19-16 in regular season meetings but 11 of those wins have come in Wisconsin. The "Green & Gold" are only 8-8 all time in Steel City.
Since 1992, when both clubs began their current run of extended successes, they've met 9 times with Green Bay going 3-2 at Lambeau Field but 0-4 in Pittsburgh. The average score of those four games in Heinz Field is Steelers 29.5 Packers 25.7.
This is considered a "signature" game for both teams, at least for the first half of this season. Motivations will be high on both sides. Expect it to be a "typical" Packers-Steelers game like previous ones. But keep in mind the old Wizard of Oz phrase, "There's no place like home. There's no place like home." And, btw, this home is now also Mr. Rodgers' neighborhood.
Here's the last Packers win in Pittsburgh, for those who may have missed it:https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=twipf+1970+packers+...
