Packers Have Been Dominant on Road in Rivalry with Bears
Packers Quarterback Jordan Love threw five touchdowns with no interceptions in his first two career starts against the Bears last season.

Since Brett Favre became the Green Bay Packers starting quarterback in 1992, it has basically been a home away from home for the Packers. Green Bay’s last Super Bowl appearance came with a win in the state south of Wisconsin.
The records for #Packers starting QB's in Chicago (or Champaign) since 1992:
- Brett Favre 13-3
- Aaron Rodgers 13-3 (includes NFC Championship game)
- Brett Hundley 1-0
- Jordan Love 1-0— MMcLaugh (@McLaughlinMitch) November 12, 2024
In the last 33 games played in Illinois between the Packers and the rival Chicago Bears, the Packers are an astonishing 27-6. This dominance includes winning streaks of 11 (1994-2004), 8 (2010-17) and 5 (2019-2023).
Matt LaFleur has yet to lose to the Bears and his road winning streak of five games at Soldier Field is tied with both Mike Holmgren and Mike Sherman for the same amount. Mike McCarthy won eight straight games at Soldier Field, which includes the 2010 NFC Championship game victory.

A year ago Green Bay continued this dominance in Jordan Love’s second career start with a 38-20 win in Week 1. It was the current signal caller’s first start since taking over for Aaron Rodgers as the team’s primary starting quarterback. Love threw for 245 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.

So far in 2024, Love has struggled with interceptions, currently tied for the league-lead with 10 of them. However, in the two 2023 contests with the Bears, Love threw for five touchdowns to no interceptions.
In those two games Love also did not have Christian Watson. The third-year wide receiver had two touchdowns in his last game against the Bears, including a 46-yard end around which clinched the 2022 win at Soldier Field. Watson was in the middle of his historic rookie-year stretch of eight touchdowns in four games.

For Green Bay to bounce back from its defeat the Detroit Lions, the offense will likely need both Love and Watson to have performances similar to their first ones at Soldier Field.
This game will also be a chance for the defense and its pass rush to find its groove back, as it goes against an offense that allowed eight sacks a week ago against the New England Patriots. The Packers defense has been looking to generate consistent pass rush for most of the season. If the defense can duplicate the performance it had against Tennessee's poor offensive line, a 6th straight win at Soldier Field will be even more likely. In that Titans game, the Packers defense had eight sacks of its own.

Watched the CHI-NE game last week. The bears o-line was terrible. NE had 8 or 9 sacks and consistent pressure on almost every play.
This should be a "get well" game for the packers' pass rush.
The Chicago defense played ok against a rookie qb who's still pretty unsure of himself. If Love returns healthy and plays like 2023 late season, Pack should shellac Chicago.
The new bears HC may throw in a few wrinkles, but it shouldn't make much difference if the pass rush gets after the over-hyped Williams.
Pack builds big lead and coasts to victory-

With the Bears building a new stadium will they be required to give Soldier Stadium to the Packers being as we own the team?

The Bears have been bad for almost 40 years and have run through an astonishing number of head coaches and quarterbacks. You have to believe they will luck into a good coach and GM at some point and reverse course but it hasn't happened yet. The Lions managed to be bad for 60+ years so there is hope the Bears can continue their current string for awhile yet. It sure is nice to pencil in at least two divisional wins a year before the season even starts. The Packers could use a strong win against the Bears Sunday as a platform to launch the second half of their season. GPG!

I haven't missed a Bear-Packer game at Soldier Field for probably over 20 years. It truly is Lambeau South. The crowd id usually around 50-50, but with the Bear fanbase discouraged, it might even lean a little to Green and Gold. It truly has been a glorious run. I've seen Hundley and Nall beat the Bears in Chicago. What a time to be alive!
