For the past few weeks rumors ran wild that Khalil Mack could in fact be traded to the Green Bay Packers. While he will be making an appearance in Green Bay this week, unfortunately it will be against the Packers as a member of the Chicago Bears. Nick Schmitz and Tyler Grzegorek discuss the impact of Khalil Mack and how Green Bay's offensive line matches up with Chicago's front seven. Nick and Tyler also touch base on some keys to success for Green Bay when they take on Chicago.

This is a tough game to predict, and it has nothing to do with Mack. Perhaps I'm over-thinking things, but I've got Chicago winning, 24-19.
Reasons?
1. Chicago is just a much more physical team. Our Defensive Front 7 is vaunted, but they'll have to be real men in a real man's game against a pounding attack--and I believe they'll come up short. I see Chicago dominating time of possession.
2. Green Bay lacks experienced speed on offense, and will likely make the disastrous mistake of going to a "quick passing game" to compensate. If I'm the Bears, I smother that action with press coverage, only giving a little space to Adams. I believe we'll try a number of ill-fated quick throws outside and slants, which will be pummeled by a fast defense having no respect for our downfield game. And Aaron, of course, will be under siege from the outset.
We certainly have a chance to win, but I think that requires us winning the turnover battle by at least 2.
It comes to this: Gute can't rebuild Ted's unathletic roster enough in one offseason. It just can't be done that quickly, and much of our increased athleticism isn't ready to play yet.
Like I said, this is a tough game to predict. We could win. But while I don't consider the Bears to be world-beaters, I give them the "W" in Week 1.

Is the first game to early to think the Packers are looking ahead to Minn and revenge in week two?
A loss to Chicago here can easily set up another next week and starting 0-2.
I know many will down vote and scream the usual, but can any really say it isn't on their mind or hold strong possibility.

Just hoping the Pack don’t overlook the Bears. IMO, there are NO easy games in the NFL. These guys are the best of the best. As I’ve said before, I’m looking forward to see some real improvement in our D....Go Packers!

I'm thinking one of the Packers own talented DB's scores a pick 6 from Trubisky. And Rodgers to Graham comes up big. And maybe the DL forces a fumble or 2. I think the defense has something to prove and gets the job done. And of course Rodgers can pick apart any defense with his ability to elude the rush and throw pinpoint accurate passes on the run. He has done it so many times before. He can do it again. Go! Pack! Go!
