Darrelle Revis Says Packers Were in the Running for His Services
Newly signed New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis revealed on Thursday that the Green Bay Packers were among the teams in the discussion to sign him.
"(It) was the Packers, Steelers, Baltimore as well as Cleveland, the Chiefs, the Jets and also the Pats, so there was a number of teams there," Revis is quoted by Dan Hanzus of NFL.com as saying on SNY's Loud Mouths. "I sat down and had conversations with (them) to see if we could work something out."
Revis was signed by the Jets on the first day of free agency, shortly before the Packers lost a pair of cornerbacks to other teams.
Davon House ended up signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars while Tramon Williams landed with the Cleveland Browns.
In the end, Revis signed a five-year, $70 million contract with the Jets, a figure the Packers couldn't match.

No chance for the pack, they have all the big money tied up. Revis likes his money and he always gets it. Hes got a ring now so now hes just business. Too bad, he'd look good in green and gold. I'll take rodgers any day.

Here is how the conversation with Revis went.
TT: Ah Darelle, we were thinking of a 2 year contract, no guaranteed money, for league minimum. What do you think?
Revis: Nope.
TT: Thanks and good luck.
