St. Louis Rams minority owner Stan Kroenke, who owns 40% of the franchise, will make a bid to purchase the remaining 60% of the club, reports Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Kroenke needed to declare his intentions today, and could either continue to hold onto his 40% stake in the franchise, sell his 40% of the team, or attempt to purchase the remaining 60% from Chip Rosenbloom and Lucia Rodriguez, who have entered into an agreement with Illinois businessman Shahid Khan for the controlling interest of the franchise.

According to Thomas, Kroenke is going with option C, which will require him to comply with the NFL's cross-ownership rules. Kroenke owns both the NBA's Denver Nuggets and NHL's Colorado Avalanche.
