Raiders Sign QB Kyle Boller

The Oakland Raiders have announced the signing of free agent quarterback Kyle Boller.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Chosen by the Baltimore Ravens with the 19th overall pick of the 2003 NFL Draft, Boller appeared in seven games for the St. Louis Rams last season, making four starts, and completing 55.7% of his passes for 899 yards, 3 touchdowns and 6 interceptions, for a passer rating of 61.2.

Boller has started 46 of his 60 games in his NFL career, and has completed 56.8% of his pass attempts for 8,745 yards, with 48 touchdowns and 50 interceptions for a career passer rating of 70.6.

Boller, 28, is a California native who threw for 7,980 yards and a school-record 64 touchdown passes for the University of California from 1999-2002. He becomes the fourth quarterback on the roster, joining JaMarcus Russell, Bruce Gradkowski, and Charlie Frye on the roster.
