Jim Mora A Candidate For Eagles' DC Job

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Jim L. Mora is a candidate for the suddenly vacant Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator position.

Sean McDermott, who had replaced the legendary Jim Johnson before the 2009 season, was relieved of his duties on Saturday. Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com reports that McDermott is a candidate for coordinator positions in Carolina and Denver.

Mora has defensive coordinator experience with the San Francisco 49ers from 1999-2003, and was actively involved in defensive game-planning in head coaching stints with the Atlanta Falcons (2004-06) and Seattle Seahawks (2009).

The Seahawks fired Mora after posting a 5-11 record in one season, and the 49-year old spent 2010, his first season not an NFL sideline since 1984, working as an analyst for the NFL Network and FOX, while drawing $12 million from the Seahawks.
