Jets Waive DL Simi Toeaina

Roster move clears space for Jets to possibly sign another player.

The New York Jets have waived defensive lineman Simi Toeaina, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports.

An undrafted free agent out of Oregon, the 6-3, 308-pound Toeaina was signed by the Jets on June 3. Toeaina totaled 14 tackles, including three for a loss, during a 21-game career with the Ducks. Toeaina is coming off a career-year, where he totaled 11 tackles in 13 games.

Today's roster moves leaves the Jets with two open roster spots, with one of those spots reserved for unsigned first-round pick Kyle Wilson.
