Jets, Revis Talking Before Training Camp

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports the New York Jets and All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis are talking before training camp opens next week.

"The parties spoke to each other in the last 24 hours for the first time since before mini-camp to try to find a solution for the All-Pro cornerback’s contract impasse", Mehta reports.

Revis is under contract through 2012, but is only expected to earn $550,000 in 2010. The two-time Pro Bowler is reportedly seeking a contract with a $15 million dollar per year average, and is contemplating a training camp absence if the Jets do not address his contract this summer.

Jets rookies reported to camp on Thursday, and the veterans are expected to report to Cortland, New York, the team's summer home, on Sunday.
