The Six-Pack

I am in a drinking mood today (coffee) with all the Packer's news out there. There is so much to talk about I think I'll drink double. So, here is a twelve-pack of stories you need to check out.

The Six-Pack

1. In case you missed it, here is a great story about Mark Murphy.

2. Packers could make a push for linebacker Bart Scott or safety Jim Leonhard.

3. There is a good chance that the Packers will look at free-agent Vonnie Holliday once again. (Psst... at least that's what they're writing about while not sourcing, linking, or identifying themselves) You really shouldn't get any soup today. But, we're not hacks around here. Copy and paste that in your email tirade. We won't sue you.

4. The Packers attended a private workout with the best third-down back in the draft.

5. Of course, this guy thinks it's a great idea to trade Kampman.

6. Is Tauscher in-or-out? You make the call.

7. Mike McCarthy says that, "Ted Thompson is the finest individual he has ever worked with." I like Mike.

8. The number nine pick is extremely hard to predict.

9. Like father like son.

10. Here are the top 64 draft prospects of the 2009 NFL draft.

11. It looks like these folks and this guy got the draft figured out through four rounds.

12. Here is a nice and thorough audit of the Packers season.

How about one more? I am feeling thirsty.

13. Finally, there is some talk about re-signing Greg Jennings.

One final sip...

14. How about a little question and answer with Ted Thompson?

Hey, these are some great links. I am surprised no one commented especially about Bart Scott who could be a key free agent.

I also hope we keep Tauscher. Good links.

Yes, I read most of the links, and they are interesting. I don't see how Bart Scott fits with the Packers, considering that our two best LB's, Hawk and Barnett, have already been penciled in at inside linebacker. If they sign Scott, they probably have to trade Barnett, and they will be in a weak position to do so. On the other hand, if they trade Barnett first, then Scott would be an ideal signing.

As for Tauscher, he should compete for his job but get a quick hook if he is slow to recover from his injury. I think his best days are behind him. I am ready to move on.
