The same weekend as the March to Keep Fear Alive/Rally to Restore Sanity? Poor choice.

You're the ones that chose to make a weekend out of it. Or is the NFL calling the shots here?

The Packers are in town to play the Jets. This seems self-explanatory.

Maybe I'm weird in that I want to go to that rally and a Packers NYC weekend and there isn't that much of a cross over. But I do know more than a few Packer fans that already made plans to make a weekend out of their DC trip to the rally.

I think it's a great idea and I hope you get enough people to make it worth all the logistical fuss. But I can tell you it's cost you at least three people in my immediate peer group alone to have it on the same weekend as the Colbert/Stewart rally. It's not your fault for the date, it's your fault for trying to get people to come on the same weekend as a HUGE event on the East coast.

The schedule has been out since April. Stewart and Colbert announced their rally last month. If people had tix for the game, I highly doubt they've dumped them to go to the rally. Not to mention there are plenty of non-Stewart & Colbert fans who also enjoy football.

And for the record - my wife will be at the rally. ;)

But you obviously want people to buy tickets for this game now, you have a mention of it in your flier. I'm sure this doesn't apply to people that already had their tickets. I'm talking new people, people you're trying to get with this announcement. With this weekend. Not the game.

I have been laughing for the last 5 minutes about how extensive this conversation is...

I like Stewart...but he'd better be handing out gold nuggets if he thinks I will attend his rally over hanging out with Packers fans and talking Packers football!

I know I'm late to this, but I can't believe how crazy this conversation was.

No offense Eric, but I live in Wisconsin, probably know a hundred or so Packer fans, and I can't think of one of them that would be caught dead at a frickin' Stewart/Colbert rally! Especially if they had the chance to go to this Ultimate Packer Fan Weekend instead.

To each their own though.

Hah, my wife was dead set on going to the rally but I just don't think we can get to DC then back to NY for Sunday. Too expensive and too much of a pain in the ass. Gonna try and talk her into jumping on a train down for Friday, would love to tailgate with CHTV on Sunday, cheers, go Pack!

I'd imagine it's a completely different place than when you were last there for a game over a decade ago. I've been going there for half that time and the crowds have really started showing up since 2006.

Let's see hang out with a bunch rabit Packer fans, with great food and drink, or go to a rally? For a TRUE fan I pick CHTV party.

I figured if I started hitch hiking (Phoenix, AZ) now I might make it to Kettle of Fish in time.

I lost three people from my group once...wouldn't have been big deal except I was a camp counselor.

Anyway, I was convinced I won the giveaway from the Packers and would have been able to be there. That said, I was also convinced Rodgers would throw 67 TDs this season, so maybe my judgement is not to be relied on.

Franklin, I can't find anything on Packers.com that says who the winner of the contest was. It was, of course, supposed to be me, because my birthday is that weekend. I'd sure like to know who won...or if someone's family member is getting to go. (just kidding, but really.)

Arghhhhh I can't believe this... Why? Why? Why Friday night? Why not Sat after the play?

Oct 29 = My wedding anniversary = plans already made = disappointment...

Oh well, I'll have to settle for Sunday. Are you planning anything before the game? I can probably round up a bunch of Packers fans and get a tailgate going...

Can't beleive they put Lombardi in the ring of honor at Fed Ex field. He was only there one year. How desperate can you be.Like the Saints retiring Jim Taylor's number.

Do you have to 21 to attend Kettle of Fish that night? I know it's a bar but i've also heard it is family-friendly.

Yeah, Do you have to be 21? I've been to KOF once and they didn't say anything, but I wouldn't risk it. Anyone know if they'll give me grief about being under 21?
