Good: Improved execution by the offense

Bad: Defense never holding a lead which is a result of poor tackling. Little impact by Gary/Clark

Ugly: Decision making and questionable offensive play calling by one MLF. Deguara on the field.

Good: Love. He had some bad too, but he’s shown me enough Rodgers-esque throws to think it would be a shame to not give him a long look.

Bad: Christian Dropssome. Every team needs a speedster to keep the defense honest, but we need to stop forcing end zone throws to him.

Ugly: Refs strike again! No amount of parallax can explain how that’s a forward pass. As a general rule, refs should let loose-ball plays play out then go to replay. Coulda used that seven points.

**author’s note: the folding of the tent with 1:30 and two time outs is beyond ugly. It’s inexcusable. Pathetic. Dare I say - fireable?

Totally agree your comment about "coaching" decision to run out the clock at the end of first half. It exposed perfectly that PePe LeFleur has zero confidence and faith in his own offense to move the ball in a critical situation. That was gutless. If I was a player, I would be beyond angry. If your "Leader" has no desire to fight, why would the players?

Running out the clock was the proper decision. The Packers were going for it but lost 5 yards on first down which changed everything. The Steelers only had one time out or they would have been using them after that play. 2nd and 15 from your 10 yard line favors the defense getting field position and points before the half, not to mention the Packers were starting the 2nd half with the ball.

Remember when MM would let the clock run down and then try a huge field goal before half time. Carlson having a go would have been Preferable to just giving up EVEN if there’s a reason for avoiding a Hail Mary. Playing not to lose is really not playing at all with a team like ours.

The good - Far fewer penalties
The bad - special teams
The Ugly - Joe Barry as a DC

The Pack should have won this game! Barry played his corners too far off the LOS in the first half. Run D wasn't helped with those STUPID two D linemen sets. What actually goes through his mind? His Defense was shredded on the ground for over 200 yards with an injured, young QB. Stack the box!

Is he so confident that he will keep his job next year that he can continue to coach anyway he wants- no matter how bad it truly is? Unbelievable.

Can, you are right on in opinion of this group.
The good ? Love looked to unleash at the start he seemed to play freely, then things got tight and so did he. Couple of good runs but overall line play is not very good can't run when holes are not there

The bad: tackling is bad really always has been under Barry. time to go Joe! Every week they allow him to direct this defense, supposed injuries (sorry guys, strap it up a bit, easy to take day off when team is going no where.) Gary with new contract was he even in the state of PA? didn't show up yesterday.

Ugly: They find a way to not get off the field on third down, JA missing in action for most of 23' cut him loose in March save your money.

time to find some grit, Christian Watson is the most fragile looking player team has had in years, testicular fortitude this guy doesn't have it.

The Good : our first moral victory of the year.
The Bad : we are now a team that needs moral victories.
The Ugly: I would think the final score next week against an angry Chargers team.
Speaking of next week, at least MLF won’t be out coached too badly , Staley is not a good coach and will probably be gone after the season. But the Kellen Moore vs Joe Barry matchup could be real ugly.

If Staley is gone after the season, where do you think his most logical landing spot is? Bonus help: Dalas is not an option,

The Good: Offense showing some potential. Long way to go but there were some moments.
The Bad: The Special Teams. Blocked extra point. Kick out of bounds. Too many kicks taken out of the end zone not getting to the 25.
The Ugly: How is that not a lateral and GB TD? How could that be REVIEWED and left to STAND? It wasn’t close. Can’t wait for the fake apology this week. They have to say something. That is hard to explain unless you think there might be some money on the game.

Bisaccia is awfully luck that Packers fans hate MLF and JB so much, otherwise he'd be getting a closer inspection as well.

First it wasnt really reviewed. They pretended to review it but they knew the whistle blew the play dead and that was a ref mistake so they could not over turn it. They never ever ever admit they screwed up.

The Good: Having a shot (in fact 2 shots) at "steeling" the game at the end.
The Bad: Being unable to score in either instance, ending with Picks.
The Ugly: Breakdown on PAT that forced us to score a TD on those last 2 drives. Make that kick and a field goal ties, and then, who knows?
Still, some progress made.

Good:
I'll go along with Reed as a good.
No turn-overs until the perfect pass to the defender to end the game, I guess we can put that in the good column.
Refs weren't great but they didn't throw the game, (boy I'm stretching for some good.....) Other than that.... Ummmm...

Bad:
Joe Berry may have lost the leadership in his squad. It's clear with all the missed tackles, they really don't give a rats ass.
Who missed their block allowing the extra point to be blocked?

Ugly:
Defensive Arm Tackling, may as well just play patty-cake or ask the guy to go down so you don't have to put a shoulder in it..... Jeez, Nitschke is truly turning in his grave.

Did anyone trust Jordan was going to actually step up and make a late come back play? You knew this was coming before the ball was snapped. As they say, "you could see this one coming across the Hone Bridge."
And who was he throwing to? because that defender making the interception surly did NOT make a highlight play-reel play on the ball, it was perfect pass right to him.

Good: OL pass protection improved, some nice throws from Love, Wicks,

Bad: ineffective defensive front, Christian Watson

Ugly: Degaura’s effort. Why is this guy still on the team?

Big addition to The Good: The TD reception by Doubs. Nice placement by Love where only the receiver could catch it, and equally nice job of keeping both feet in bounds.

Bad: The overall defense, while not horrible, invited the Steelers to run early and often with the usual suspect alignments; nor did they harass Pickett enough, and late in the game, allowed him to escape for a big first down.

Ugly: That was most certainly a dropped lateral that was not called correctly. Throw in the spineless Gene Steratore (who lives in suburban Pittsburgh), "This is a really difficult angle when you're looking at it...to me is just wasn't enough to overturn it." Bullshit.

The good, sometimes looked like an NFL team

The bad, too often didn't look like there were 11 professionals on the field, a number one receiver who would be sitting on the bench on a lot of teams, a defense that couldn't stop a girl scout from running for a first down (or catching a pass) , a group of coaches who too often look clueless, inexcusable special teams miscues, leadership that doesn't have the guts to make changes in the coaching staff when it should

The good: we scored some points
The bad: we gave up more then we scored.
The ugly: talk by gutt to analyst that the youth movement is his genius of getting everyone to grow together. Ya right. Everyone is learning so much from lefleur and barry

The Good: an offense that could score by actually making catches of good or catchable throws.
The Bad: Joe Berry soft defense easy on the run and forget to tackle defense.
The Ugly: the NFL refereeing which gets worse each week and its coverup of bad calls even with blind officials in New York. Don't believe your lying eyes or the yard markers, believe the NFL guy 10 yards downfield who had no angle to call incomplete. Oh and what about the let it play out approach to reffing?

Bad: The officiating is more mind boggling each week. And Sunday night’s game features the pathetic Hoculi crew.
Ugly: Winning is a a habit…and so is losing. This team seems to equate trying hard with winning.
Good: Additional losses might lead to some coaching changes…
Go Packers!!!

What I have seen, is Watson having to either to slow down, or actually, turn around and go back for the ball; with the DB having better position, because of the short throw. Either Love needs to fix his foot work or get a stronger arm.

The Good: Degura and JRJ will be free agents next year. The Offense and their never quit attitude. Rookie receivers and tight ends played great. Walker/ Tom keeping Watt/Highsmith in check (I thought they would have 2# sacks each). Cornerbacks played great.

The Bad: Piss poor tackling. Little pass rush to rattle Pickett (1# sack). Former Steeler Ben Rothlisberger could have ran for 100# yards against this Defense. Trick plays, seriously!?

The Ugly: Clock management. Special teams and Defense. Defensive play calling-Everyone knew the Steelers wanted to run the ball and we only used 2# Defensive linemen. Pathetic. CBS and their camera shot of Joe Berry. Now that’s ugly.

Just another typical LaFleur team “shoot yourself in the foot” outing. That we almost overcame it isn’t the point. We are playing on a handicap each week. It’s just a question of which coaches get whipped tactically.

The bad...having Watson as your number one WR...is he really??? Just because he's fast?? I dont think Love is the QB of the future but these WR's sure dont help his case either...when the ball is thrown to the right spot...
