Per ESPN: (on Reggie Wayne)

"Packers are waiting on Jordy Nelson's MRI, pending the result, I'm told Green Bay will be calling the 36 year old receiver who is in NE."

As soon as JJ gets cut by the Giants, it's back to the Pack. ---- AR (and MM) wants some experience at WR. He'll keep talking until TT comes up with an answer.

""It was determined that WR Jordy Nelson sustained a significant right knee injury in yesterday's game at Pittsburgh," the team said. "He will miss the remainder of the season." Next man up or Vet FA?

Thompson and McCarthy already know about the FA's that are available...just as they know what they already have on the team. James Jones makes sense to me if he's available at a reasonable price...but I think it's more likely they will weigh the options and go with what they all ready have.

Chris Licata wasn't nearly as enthusiastic about Tolzien as Brian, something about locking onto his primary receiver (called being decisive here) and being slow to go through his progressions. A little surprising since most sites gave Tolzien extremely high marks. I thought he played well, though I noted he looked at his primary receiver too early and too long. OTOH, I thought the ball came out fine and went to the right receiver (hard to see on TV), so I am surprised about Licata's progressions complaint.

This is a nice article about scheming to compensate for the loss of Nelson.
