Aaron, if this were a Jersey Al article, I'd talk about the time-honored NJ tradition of what to do when somebody is crawling in through your window. But waitamminit, you're in that auspicious home of Pace taco sauce, NEW YORK CITY?!? It's been known to have an unsavory character or two trying to break in through your windows, too.

Suffice it to say that when you try to enter through a window, you're VULNERABLE. People won't just be trying to stop you, they'll be trying to KILL you!

Even so, as soon as the last draft was over I began talking about THIS TEAM being not just a contender, but hopefully DOMINANT, and for a decade or more. Redeeming the Favre-Rogers era with only 2 Lombardi's and 3 trips to the SB total. That didn't happen due to a lack of talent on the field, but there was some mismanagement and especially with some positions. There were also some holes elsewhere in the organization.

All that needs to be fixed before GB has another dynasty, obviously. The question is, how much more needs to be done? I'm thinking it's pretty close. Last season would have been 13 wins with reasonable play in 17 games, but that still wouldn't have gotten us any further in the playoffs. To come so close and then lose, again, to SF, AGAIN?!? Man that has to sting, burn, etc. I hope EVERY PLAYER has been taking that personally ever since, and training with a VENGEANCE. And I don't mean waiting for OTAs but taking the initiative to group up with teammates and specialist trainers to smash through their previous personal bests and excel.

That type of thing will do more for the team than the draft; a champion is someone who pays the price no one else is willing to pay. #25 is the hungriest player on the team, and joined with his long-time buddy Josh Jacobs that can become contagious, spreading throughout the whole locker room ...
