Packers vs. Colts Game Predictions from CheeseheadTV.com

 GAME PREDICTIONS Week 9

Green Bay Packers vs. Indianapolis Colts

Name Record   Pick Prediction
Adam 4-3 Green Bay Packers 31-26
The Packers build a big first half lead, but as they usually do, the Colts mount a garbage time comeback and make a game out of it.
Jersey Al 3-4 Green Bay Packers 33-24
With some of the Packers' walking wounded returning to face an equally wounded (and less talented) Colts squad at Lambeau Field, there are few reasons this game should be close.Yet you know the Packers will find a way to keep the Colts within striking distance for most of the game. The end result will still be a win, however.
Andrew 4-3 Green Bay Packers 27-17
As I wrote yesterday, this will come down to whether the defense can pressure Andrew Luck  and whether the secondary can contain the receivers, notably TY Hilton, who it seems will play. Luck has been sacked more frequently than any quarterback in the league, and hit almost more than anyone, so the pass rushers should have a fruitful day. That said, he may get hit but Luck also finds ways to get the ball out and bring his team back from the brink. So if the corners aren't up to the task, the Packers could be in trouble.
Cory 4-3 Green Bay Packers 27-20
With the Colts' offensive line as porous as a colander, the Packers' defensive front seven should take some pressure off the inexperienced secondary. Even with a muted running attack, Green Bay wins.
Jason 5-2 Green Bay Packers 38-17
Maybe I'm not giving the Colts enough credit or I'm giving the Packers too much.  But this is a home game against a team they should beat after a tough letdown in Atlanta.  If this team is what we hope they can be, they can't lose this game and honestly, they should win convincingly.  The Packers get out to an early lead and never let the Colts close the gap.  T.Y. Hilton poses a deep threat for Indy's offense but the Packers pass rush returns to form and limits the damage Andrew Luck can do.
Jayme 4-3 Green Bay Packers 31-23
I missed last weeks game, probably for the best, but was happy to see more points put up and that it didn't take forever for the offense to score them. Back at Lambeau, the offense should be able to keep up this trend. Here's hoping that's true and here's hoping I get to see some of this game.
Michelle 5-2 Green Bay Packers 31-20
This Colts defense is awful, allowing opposing quarterbacks 287 yards per game on average. And, in general, the Colts don’t have a lot of talent on either side of the ball aside from Andrew Luck, who is wasted on them. The only reason the Packers may not put the Colts away handily is that they still look to be down a handful of key players in Week 9.
Ross 5-2 Green Bay Packers 30-17
The Packers are starting to get healthy, and need to get healthy record-wise.  The Packers would certainly like to be 6-3 heading in to that playoff rematch with Washington on the 20th of November.  It's going to be important for Green Bay to have 5 or fewer losses when they start their three game stretch of division games to finish the year.  Green Bay top to bottom is a better team than Indianapolis, and they need to win this home game if they're going to be taken seriously this season.  Last week's short handed effort at Atlanta was certainly promising, but it doesn't mean anything if they can't make a serious run at the division.  Minnesota is starting to show their warts, it's time for the Packers to take advantage.
Zach 5-2 Green Bay Packers 37-20
Packers begin picking up pace as the midway point of the season comes and goes. Aaron Rodgers hits a rhythm, young receivers step up, injuries cease.
Mr. X 4-3 Green Bay Packers 38-17
Andrew will not have much luck this game staying on his feet. Packers record at least six sacks and send the ponies galloping back to Indiana.

GB wins comfortably. MIN loses convincingly. CHI loses the bye.

Who does DAL play again? Oh yeah, CLE. Dallas will lose too, because, reasons. :D

This should be a game the Packers pass rush does the work to limit Lucks production. Montgomery will have close to 150 yards in total offense, Rodgers will have a QB rating over 100 for the 3rd straight game, and Adams continues to catch the Football, this time just 10 catches.

The Lions beat Minnesota and suddenly Sam Bradford is "Exactly who we thought he was".

Dallas just plain sucks, I hate the Cowboys. Jerry still has half the season to screw them up.

LOL. I wish! All sarcasm aside, unfortunately, I think Dallas may just be the best team in the NFC - right now. The weakness for them has been and will be the defense - and Dak STILL has not been forced to play from way behind. Who knows if he can actually push the ball down the field when needed? They're the best right now, but Green Bay has a higher ceiling. Same with Atlanta. We will get our chance to render PHI and SEA moot later on in the year. I'm not going to even comment about Minny - they've been exposed and it will be fun to see their long boats burning in the weeks to come. Their fans deserve nothing less than agony. Schmucks.

If we get healthy, we're going to be very tough to beat in January. That's all I care about.

I do agree about your take with Minnesota. I think that Defense IS great, but with all the 3 and outs that Offense will have, the Defense will begin to wear down, especially in December when games ARE won in the trenches. I think both of our optimism the Vikings will fade comes from they normally do, and we both hate Purple. Vikings Fans are hilarious. They won the NFC North last year and act as though they won a SB. They have no "Banners" in the new stadium, at least none with any "Accomplishment". They don't have a single Championship in their almost 60 year history

Green Bay HAS GOT to get healthy though and even then Randall and Rollins need to play better, Randall much, much, better. HHCD needs to take that jump n the 2nd half of the season we thought he start to take in week one, and it would be nice if the little Peppers has played in September and October pays off in December with lots of sacks, strips of the ball, and even an interception return for good measure.

With everything the Colts have going against them, the Packers however, can be at the most inopportune time to themselves, the bearer of gifts to those in need of a present and give away what cannot be afforded.
I will assume a win for our Packers and hope our front seven with special consideration for one can shine even more so against the utterly worst offensive line in the NFL. If not, another checkmark against a new big deal.

Describe me however, but for anyone who praises ' him' for his thunderous routs of the meek, must adhere to the demand to provide same and even more still beastly rage against the meekness of the worst. Are those who have chosen ' him ' as the priority to retain, not to be required to seek same of ' him' who openly cast doubt. To do less is unfair to the years of head butting for and against until the decision becomes yes or no. : )

Who the hell knows. But a resounding victory with dominant O and finally some scores off of defensive turnovers would be nice.

You almost have to think that at some point, and maybe it's this game, that some of the bounces needed for a team to get turnovers will finally start turning in the Packers favor.

It seems like it's been forever since a game where the Packers defense looked like they took the other team having the ball as a personal affront.

A blowout win would surprise me. The Packers consistently let teams hang around way too long, leaving us to bite our nails. Packers 34, Colts 27.

Me as well, but we are due for one. Really due and Colts might be our best opportunity for one this year.

MM does not understand what a blowout win is let alone how to do it. Up 2 td's, he will go conservative while the other team catches up and we get a close win. That was ok in the old days, not now.

Yeah I know. That's one of those things that I can't understand, or stand about MM. Way too many of those turn into losses.

Packers 38 - Colts 20. Hopefully Capers defense does not need to be on the field at the end of this one. We don't want Luck with the ball late in the game with a chance to win or this game will be an instant replay of last week's failure. Thanks, Since '61

OK, as much as I hate to say it COW stated something that all of us need to realize....the Packers are less then 500 team since last year's bye. I don't think Green Bay is that bad, but their record stands. The reason I see a future in this team is how they are playing. They have overcome a mental block of too many injuries and have played hard and smart in the last few games.

I would love to see the Packer's play teams with their roster full of healthy players. Doesn't happen in today's NFL. I do think this game has to be another mental toughness game where they keep their mistakes to a minimum. Essentially play the game like the Patriots do....let the other team make the mistakes and let your QB win the game. If they do that, they win by a lot. Also want to see the defense start making some plays. HHCD, MB, and the rest of the beat-up secondary need make a difference. It hasn't really happened this season.

BTW...Dallas is tough because they don't get behind in games where Dak has to throw them to a win. I think Green Bay wins big and that the Browns play the Cowboys very tough. The NFC isn't that strong of a conference this year.

The packers achiles heel is ghe pass d. Its horrific and many of the newbies you guys refer two are in year two and three..
If the pass rush can get to luck could be a good dday for the pack but if he gets time even alittle time he will have no problem finding someone open. I mean thats the game, pass d.
