Packers vs. Chargers Game Predictions from CheeseheadTV.com

GAME PREDICTIONS Week 6: Green Bay Packers vs. San Diego Chargers
Name Record To-Date This Week's Pick Score Prediction
Aaron Nagler 5-0 Green Bay Packers 31-23
The Packers are at home facing a banged up team on a short week. Rivers could pull off a miracle, but I tend to think the Packers take care of business,

Adam Czech 5-0 Green Bay Packers 33-26
If the Chargers offensive line stands strong early and let's Philip Rivers get into a groove, the Chargers will score points. But not quite enough points to pull off the upset.

Jersey Al Bracco 5-0 Green Bay Packers 30-16
All this talk of being undefeated and what day is getaway day for their bye week could mean the players' heads are not 100% inyo this game. Against a better, healthier opponent, that could be the recipe for "one of those games," but the Chargers are not the team to upset the Packers at home.

Alex Tallitsch  5-0 Green Bay Packers 24-17
Green Bay plays another solid game at home. San Diego keeps it relatively close with Antonio Gates in the red zone, but the Packers have it under control from start to finish.

Andrew Garda 5-0 Green Bay Packers 21-14
While Antonio Gates helps out the Chargers, it ends up being a wash as Stevie Johnson may not play and so Philip Rivers will still be limited in his options. While the Chargers offense is talented, the offensive line is hurt (you guys know how that looks) and Rivers isn't getting enough time to find open receivers. Defensively, the Packers should be able to contain him and the offense while their own offense will pick apart the Chargers secondary. Patrick Robinson and Eric Weddle are playing well, but nobody else is rated well right now (by sites like Pro Football Focus) and the Packers have too many passing weapons as well. There are just too many ways to get killed by Green Bay right now.

Corey Behnke 5-0 Green Bay Packers 60-0
Packers roll.

Cory Jennerjohn 5-0 Green Bay Packers 31-23
The Packers continue to find ways to win, which is the hallmark of a a great team. I would expect the passing game to get back on track as Aaron Rodgers puts up nice numbers before the break.

Jason Perone 5-0 Green Bay Packers 35-17
After a "tough" outing at home last week and a less-potent Chargers pass rush to come this week, Rodgers & Co get back on track on the offensive side of the ball.  The defense gets pressure on Rivers most of the day and force a few turnovers.  Unlike Todd Gurley last week, this week's rookie running back, Melvin Gordon, won't be lighting it up on the ground.  This should be a game where both the offense and defense turn in a solid performance and the Packers carry their perfect record into the much-needed bye week

Jay Hodgson 5-0 Green Bay Packers 24-14
Packers win behind another stellar effort from the reborn pass rush.

Jayme Snowden 5-0 Green Bay Packers 28-13
Rodgers tends to respond to an "off" game with a strong game, and versus the Chargers defense, I expect more offensive production. The Vikings held the Chargers to 14 points, the Packers should be able to hold them to at least one point less. Also, Rodgers loves the brown throwback pants. 6 - 0 into the bye week!

Jeff Albrecht 5-0 Green Bay Packers 27-10
On the surface the Chargers appear competitive with their 3rd ranked offense.  But they may be missing three starters from the O-line, they don't score consistently and are prone to turning the ball over - Rivers 5 INT. Their two wins came at home with narrow victories over lightweights Cleveland and Detroit. Packers will be relatively healthy and McCarthy will have them focused in a rout.

Mike Reuter 4-1 Green Bay Packers 37-13
The Chargers are incredibly banged up right now. They might get Stevie Johnson back this week, but with the way the Packers pass rush is going and how poor San Diego's offensive line is, I don't think it will matter. Rivers is going to be under pressure all day long. I expect the Packers to get the run game going and cruise to an easy victory.

Robert Olson 5-0 Green Bay Packers 28-20
The Packers should be able to get pressure on Philip Rivers and run the ball against the Chargers defense. I expect the Chargers to have some fight, but the Packers will finish strong before the bye week.

Thomas Hobbes 5-0 Green Bay Packers 24-10
The Packers get a little breather after facing a lot of stout defenses to start the year, expect to see Eddie Lacy make up for lost time against a Chargers defense ranked 30th against the run according to DVOA.  The Packers defense will also have a big opportunity to ruin Philip Rivers' day since the Chargers offensive line has been decimated by injuries.

Wisconsin Rob (Strupp) 4-1 Green Bay Packers 35-9
Offense gets back on track against a bad San Diego defense. Defense gets two picks on Rivers floaters.

Zach Kruse 5-0 Green Bay Packers 27-17
The offense might be working out some kinks, but expect the Green Bay defense to put Philip Rivers under siege. A late defensive touchdown seals another home win.

60-0 prediction from Corey! Maybe Corey has the over since the over/under is 51?

I suggest that Datone, Peppers, CM3, Elliott, probably some of the DL all have nice days. I would think SD can be held to under 19. Offense should look better and get back to scoring 28 to 33 points or so. Solid win. GPG

Packers are playing at home and they have the better team. The offense is due to get back on track and our defense is improving every week. The Packers can only lose if they beat themselves. I like the Pack 37-14! Go Pack Go! Thanks, Since '61
