Rumor is Rodgers is taking a knee during the National Anthem if he does I am done with anything football I am a patriot first and 911 survivor and first responder . God bless America

With all due respect to your service, if your done with people who express thier 1st amendment rights why did you volunteer as a 1st responder to defend those rights? How do you claim to be a Patroit if you deny others those rights?
We don't have to agree with others but we have to respect thier rights.
I suggest you go read the Constitution. The first Amendment doesn't say athletes have no right to speak or that eveyone must stand during the anthem. I always stand during the anthem, but I have the right not to as well. Once I loose the right not to stand, my standing means nothing.

Respect. Respect is earned not given. Have the men and women who have given their lives for their country earned respect? To me standing for the national anthem is a way to respect the people who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. To me when people disrespect the national anthem they are disrespecting all those who have given their lives for their flag and country. Football used to be a game. I used to watch this game to momentarily escape from all the politics that is so pervasive in our society. It is not a game anymore. Soon it will be flag football with "face the nation" for half time highlights.

Jeremyjjbrown , I was a member of the NYPD I did my duty on 911 and then some , the American flag and the national anthem is special to me , I attended many funerals with flag draped coffins and hearing the anthem over and over , what are they protesting? They are millionaires playing a game why are they disrespecting the flag and country ? Black athlete millionaires feel discriminated against ? We had a black president and Opra is the wealthiest women in America . Who is being denied anything ,? plus Kapernick started this yet he turned down an offer from the niners .there is a time and place for everything.

Thanks for your service. Please don't feel free to abridge people's right to protest though. If you don't understand the continued existance of racial inequalities in the US, you need to stop watching Fox News.

If you sit during the national anthem you SHOULD forfeit your right to play in the game. I don't give a s**the about 1st amendment rights when it comes to respecting your nation. If you aren't going to show deserved respect to the very nation that allows you to make millions playing a game, then move to a country where soccer is the main sport and disrespect some other country.
