I just got done talking to Tom Crabtree and he's pretty hurt right now. I had to tell him that it sounded like about five people read the book "Area 51" for his meaningful and personal project tonight, "Tree's Reads."

Like most NFL stars, Crabtree is on a mission. A mission to get busy people to read super lengthy books and then all get together at one time and talk about the contents. It's a noble cause, and rest assured Crabtree is deeply torn by the lack of participation by what are usually considered to be the best fans in all of sports.

Tom had to take pause as he weighed his options on either canceling or modifying tonights "Tree's Reads" in leu of his pain he was feeling towards those that so blatantly snubbed him.

That being said, after several hours of waiting for an answer, Crabtree did indeed confirm that he will not be holding "Tree's Reads" this evening at CHTV.

He apologizes to those that read the book, and each person that can prove they made it through the manuscript tonight, will receive a special signed "Tom Crabtree Certificate of Achievement."

Since many of you faithful Crabtree followers had tonight slated as a big night on your calendar, we will instead be holding an alternative event.

That's right, Tom understands that we all can't be Super Bowl Champions. He feels for those fans that may not have it in them to make the extra effort for that clock killing first down.

Tom knows we all can't be as amazing as he his.

At least that's what he told me.
