Packers Tickets 42% Above Average for Sunday's Game vs. Panthers

Tickets for Sunday's game can be had for $144 on the secondary market.

It was only a few weeks ago that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers told fans to relax. He was onto something, as Green Bay has rebounded from a sluggish 1-2 start to  enter Week 7 with a 4-2 mark. Suddenly the Packers seem to be firing on all cylinders on both sides of the ball and look to top the Carolina Panthers when they come to Lambeau Field this week. Green Bay’s rise from the ashes have Green Bay Packers tickets increasing in value again on the secondary market. The average price for Packers vs Carolina Panthers tickets is $341.96, which is 42% above the season average for Packers tickets at Lambeau Field. The get-in price is currently $144.

While that’s not cheap by any means, it’s still a pretty good deal for any Packers home game—especially one that could easily develop into a high scoring shootout with Cam Newton’s Panthers. Carolina brings quite the test to the table in Week 7, as Newton is one of the better dual threat quarterbacks in the league and the Packers have had major difficulty with read option plays. Considering Newton ran the ball a whopping 17 times and topped 100 rushing yards last week, it’s conceivable the green and gold could have their hands full in Week 7.

That doesn’t mean the Packers’ three game winning streak has to end, though, as they still have the luxury of being at home and have the offense to match anything Newton puts up. In fact, Carolina’s defense is far worse than Green Bay’s at this point, suggesting Rodgers can go off and the Packers should be able to get Eddie Lacy and the running game going, as well.

The biggest factor may be the Packers’ pass defense in this one, however. While Green Bay does struggle against the run and zone read packages specifically, Newton may not find it easy to torch Green Bay’s strong secondary. In fact, unless he does, the Panthers probably aren’t going to have a shot to earn the upset win.

Green Bay has done a great job at maintaining solid balance on offense, even with their running game struggling. Against a bad Carolina run defense, they should see little resistance and could have one of their better offensive displays of the year. If that happens, they could leave Carolina in their dust.

Better keep Luke Kuechly blocked if the run game is going to succeed.

Other teams are finding a way to run against Carolina. However, the strength of GB's running game is the interior blockers, so it might be strength against strength. Since the tackles and TEs don't block well, it might be harder for GB to run away from Kuechly. Look for Sitton to be asked to block Kuechly at the 2nd level a lot. Should be interesting.
