NFL SCOUTING REPORT:

Robinson turned himself into something as a ballhawk has he worked his way into more and more playing time, recording five picks and seven passes defended in his final two seasons at the lower division. The move up to Tulane did nothing to discourage Robinson, who, as a senior, recorded two additional picks to complement six passes defended.

CAREER NOTES:

Robinson played in three seasons at Furman before transferring to Tulane for his senior year. At Tulane, he had 23 tackles and two interceptions, including one returned for a TD.

FIT WITH THE PACKERS:

As mentioned in that Acme Packing Co profile, Robinson is the classic 7th round pick corner for the Packers. He's tall enough and ran a sub 4.4 40. That's enough for a 7th-round pick. He'll likely play special teams and maybe earn a roster spot. Hard to have super high expectations for any player at this part of the draft.

COMMENTARY:

Robinson is another former visitor drafted by the Packers. He was among the "convince them to sign as a UDFA" crew. The Packers must've gotten a hint that another team may draft him. He seems to have a prototypical late-round slot corner size and athleticism and is a bet on the coaching staff being able to develop him. If he never develops into a strong defensive player, he's got the speed and tackling ability to play special teams.

It seems that with more players refusing to do drills - the IGA scores will become more important to scouting staffs.

Agreed. And the on field IGA score is a better look at play speed than just shorts.

Speed is always a need. Can't teach that but can teach NFL DB skills. We will see.

And the last pick is Star Wars John Williams G/Cincinnati. An aerospace engineer. I don't believe he composes movie scores, however. He's another prospect who cleared the pre draft interviews with visits at 1265.

The OL is going to have some serious competition and interesting churn is possible.

I am always surprised with Team Gutey drafts. Today was all D and a G after all O in the first two.

I think one of the talented DTs early would have been the High ROI decision, even after Golden...who I like.

Looks like a B draft but another 2-3 years will tell the tale.

Where's the enemy year numbers dude? Adding Micah Robinson was no accident, people. Behold!

David Whitehurst played at Furman.

Max McGee played at Tulane.

Donald Driver was a seventh round draft pick.

Coincidences? I. Think. Not!

His short shuttle was slower than Enagbare's, who was in the 33rd percentile for Edge players. Hopefully he fell down or something, his 3-cone was a little more towards average.
