Packers Calendar: Specifics on T.J. Lang's Ankle Injury

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said he'd share more information on Lang's injury on Wednesday.

After their typical day off from practice on Tuesday, the Green Bay Packers return to action again on Wednesday as they continue their preparations for the Chicago Bears and attention will be on offensive lineman T.J. Lang.

When he held his last press conference on Monday, head coach Mike McCarthy said he'd have more information on Lang, who injured his ankle in the Packers' last game against the New Orleans Saints.

"I'll get into specifics Wednesday, but T.J. was in the rehab mode (Monday)," said McCarthy, hinting that Lang did not practice when the team reconvened from the bye week.

When Lang exited the Saints game, he was replaced in the lineup by Lane Taylor, who had his share of struggles.

It's likely Lang benefitted from the Packers having their bye week and getting some extra rest, but whether he's ready to return is another matter.

The Packers will release their first injury report of the week on Wednesday, on which Lang will be listed as either out, limited or full participant, which should give a better idea of where's he's at in his recovery.

After the release of the injury report, McCarthy will meet with the media for a press conference to be aired at approximately 1:35 p.m. CT on Packers.com.

Perhaps defensive lineman Datone Jones will get into specifics of his own injury on Wednesday night as he hosts his bi-monthly radio show on 107.5 FM and 1400 AM WDUZ in Green Bay at 6:00 p.m. and streamed online at TheFan1075.com.

Jones hasn't played in three consecutive games with a sprained ankle, but apparently returned to practice on Monday.

Fans can attending the Datone Jones Show in person at the Sports Pub inside Thornberry Creek Golf Club in Oneida, Wis. Quarterback Scott Tolzien will be the player guest, according to Marques Eversoll of WDUZ on Twitter.
