Packers Add OL Jordan McCray to Practice Squad

To make room, the Packers released running back Michael Hill.

The Green Bay Packers made an addition to their practice squad on Wednesday, moments before the first practice of the week began, adding offensive lineman Jordan McCray and releasing running back Michael Hill.

On one hand, the timing of the transaction is notable, perhaps signaling T.J. Lang is not ready to return from an ankle injury and the team needed a guard to get through the week.

Lang suffered an ankle injury in the Packers' last game before the bye.

On the other hand, the Packers may also have no longer felt the need to carry an extra running back on their practice squad after adding Rajion Neal earlier in the week.

This marks McCray's second stint on the practice squad this season. He previously spent one week with the team during the month of October before being released.

McCray was originally signed with the Packers as an undrafted free agent and spent all of training camp with the team before being cut. He will wear No. 62.

I think no RB is needed besides Neal. You can never have enough OL, but whether this young man has any NFL future remains to be seen. But at least he is getting his shot on the PS.
