Packers 46-Man Roster Prediction for Week 6 at Dolphins
Wide receiver Jarrett Boykin has been ruled out of Sunday's game. Who will take his spot on the active roster?
Here's our best guess at predicting the Green Bay Packers' game-day roster for Sunday's Week 6 match-up against the Miami Dolphins. Reminder, only 46 players can be active.
The entire roster is included. Those bold and italicized are predicted to be inactive...
Quarterback: Aaron Rodgers, Matt Flynn, Scott Tolzien
Running Back: Eddie Lacy, John Kuhn, James Starks, DuJuan Harris
Wide Receiver: Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Jarrett Boykin, Davante Adams, Jeff Janis, Kevin Dorsey
Tight End: Richard Rodgers, Andrew Quarless, Brandon Bostick
Offensive Line: David Bakhtiari, Josh Sitton, Corey Linsley, T.J. Lang, Bryan Bulaga, Derek Sherrod, Lane Taylor, Garth Gerhart
Defensive Line: Mike Daniels, Datone Jones, Letroy Guion, Josh Boyd, Mike Pennel, Luther Robinson
Outside Linebackers: Julius Peppers, Clay Matthews, Mike Neal, Nick Perry, Jayrone Elliott
Inside Linebackers: A.J. Hawk, Brad Jones, Jamari Lattimore, Sam Barrington, Carl Bradford
Cornerbacks: Sam Shields, Tramon Williams, Davon House, Casey Hayward, Jarrett Bush, Demetri Goodson
Safeties: Morgan Burnett, Micah Hyde, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Sean Richardson
Specialists: Mason Crosby, Tim Masthay, Brett Goode
Notes:
- Boykin (groin) has already been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Dolphins. This will be the third consecutive game he's missed.
- Jones (ankle) and Barrington (hamstring) have both been listed as "questionable" and neither is predicted to play.
- If Jones is healthy enough to play, fellow defensive lineman Luther Robinson is likely the odd man out.
- Baktiari (back) and Boyd (knee) are both listed as "probable" and both are predicted to play.
- Dorsey is predicted to be active for the first time in his career.
- After being active for the first four games of the season, Garth Gerhart potentially faces his second straight week on the inactive list.
- Neither Tolzien, Bradford or Goodson have been active yet this season.

Give Tolzien the chance to get some game experience. Packers can do better than Matt Flynn.

This is about winning games. Not getting Scott Tolzien game experience...

I agree with the prediction.
I found it really interesting that McCarthy said 2 times in the last 2 days that he was really looking forward to seeing Dorsey play Sunday.
My question is, do they have something planed with Dorsey? Maybe KR?

I agree with you. What I found interesting was that McCarthy emphasized the strong ST play by Dorsey during preseason. Now I honestly can't remember it, and the stats are not that great, but he may have played gunner as well as returner. I wouldn't be surprised to see him returning kicks. Harris hasn't done that much this season with it, and maybe the coaches are seeing something in Dorsey.

Yeah, it has more about his coverage than his return ability actually. If you go back and watching him cover kickoffs in the preseason, he was consistently the first player down the field.

Jeez, that defensive line depth chart is ... not good. Methinks TT may have to use yet another high draft pick or two there next spring.

To have a real threat on KO returns would be swell
