Are fans really talking that much about letting Bulaga go THIS year, like now ?

Anyone with a lick of sense would be talking about letting him go at the END of this season when his contract ends, not now. Even then I'd be ok with giving him a short-term extension of another 1-2 years (which he might not accept) helping to allow a high 2020 OT draft pick to be eased in.

I was thinking the same thing. What fans are calling for 75’s release or trade? I looked back at Brandon Carwile’s article “Is Bryan Bulaga’s Spot On The Roster Safe?” I then read many of the comments. The VAST MAJORITY were in support of 75, not just for this year but even supporting an extension. I then went back to David Michalski’s article about possible cap causalities. David was the one that brought up releasing 75 & then later declared that the Pack should indeed keep him. The comments to that article also supported keeping 75. Jacob, Owen & Nick, where are you seeing or hearing of fans calling for the release of 75?

There were quite a few here and on other sites urging us to get a tackle on day one because Bulaga “can’t make it through a season” any more and it would free cap space too.

Then there have been people speculating that Bulaga gets traded and replaced by Turner or Jenkins based on a conviction now we have more genuine central O line depth. I think that has been less prevalent than the pre draft chatter, but it’s out there.

The OT tackles didn’t fall to pick #44 (Like Risner). Trading up for Savage also depleted are 2 4th rounders where GB likes to select tackles. Had that not happened, this topic would be more relevant.
I’m on board with The Big E & Savage selections...
Bulaga will play out his contract & not be resigned due to age and injury history. Draft a tackle early and often next year.
