Jalen Ramsey in sign and trade? What would it cost?

There was very little discussion of the various CBs. I do not believe that Baker, Oruwariye, Layne, Trayvon Mullen, Love, Ya-Sin, or Lonnie Johnson got mentioned by name.

The Packers needed more than one safety. They have acquired Adrian Amos, which helps a lot, but they need another, and for me that means a FS that ideally can play single high when needed.

That limits the prospects in this draft quite sharply, down to 5 prospects, imo. they are Deionte Thompson, Nasir Adderley, Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Juan Thornhill, and Darnell Savage. when a mock draft was done by fans on another site, I was surprised just how fast those safety prospects disappeared. By pick #30 only Savage and Thornhill were left.

Since I believe we need another starter-level safety, ideally at #44, that got me thinking. I came up with the idea of finding a different way to get a FS. My solution was CB Amani Oruwariye. Over 6'1", over 200lb, with good agility, especially for his size, and good at reading defenses.

He could be a solid insurance at CB while learning to play safety. An invaluable movable chesspiece, depending on the Packers needs. Biggest need for him (as a FS) ? Better tackling.

You wondered who first suggested that Josh Jackson could be moved to safety. I put that up a a possibility many months ago, when no-one was talking about that anywhere. It was based on how he did in his rookie year, his physical traits, and his draft evaluation, which extolled his ability, when facing the QB, to read and anticipate the flow of the game.

He could (I thought) be a high quality ballhawking FS if he struggled at CB. He has enough size for FS, and though he just might struggle at single high, he could do everything else and had traits to excel there.

In his rookie year, the lack of experience at CB showed. He needs time to get comfortable with the complexity of the NFL. He has the mental makeup and the desire to get better, so I'd like to see him get a proper shot at CB this year. If that fails, THEN you look at him at safety.
