As far as Doubs goes, this is either a misunderstanding by Huber or it’s probably a sign of deeper issues. Doubs is a first contract reveiver with no reputation as a diva in the past and not a league star, just a dependable starter. Absent some medical issues, those guys don’t pull this type of stunt because they don’t have leverage. The team can move on and just leave them hanging suspended with no need to trade them and other teams tend to be wary in future without extreme talent.

If Doubs is indeed that unhappy and mentally OK, then it’s likely this has been festering a while and it’s likely it’s not just him. This is a pretty tight group of young players. Everything to date suggests Doubs is an unlikely rebel, seemingly. Is LaFleur not as esteemed as is generally assumed? Or is this nothing or immaturity?

Unfortunately this was rushed out to the public without any insight or details about the motivations other than a general claim. Perhaps that’s informative to a point, but it may be equally unhelpful for all concerned. If it’s BS, then it will be worthy of censure not praise.

Don’t jump the gun Andy. It may be right, but it may be grossly misleading or false even if the motives are pure. Reporters want scoops naturally and reported get bad or misleading information and are innocently hoodwinked at times. Unless it’s confirmed it’s a rumor and unless the motives are known they remain so even if the bare fact is correct.

This piece is presumptive at best. I hope it doesn’t prove too embarrassing. Maybe stick to football aspects. Nothing you say about Doubs’ usage is wrong, but the more difficult what is known is to reconcile, the more doubt about a discordant conclusion is recommended. If the anxiety attack story is true, doesn’t it seem possible that it could flag a wholly different potential reason for absence than dissatisfaction by a guy with little to no leverage, if relevant at all? Sorry I stopped listening after that.

Did Bill need to put this out to the greater media? Doubs has been hardworking and reliable to date.
I think we can all sense that Romeo is shy. I am really disappointed in Bill and Andy @ this point and turned this video off.

Bill Huber's 'scoop' is now all over the NY Post where bottom-feeders reside. I am really angry about this. Romeo is a good guy and I hope Bill regrets his decision to put Romeo on blast.

I am very familiar with the NYPost and you can best believe I spent some time
refuting many of the ugly comments. Andy seemed only too happy to discuss Romeo's sensitivities.

It may be an uncomfortable story but it is a story. I don't think Bill Huber would risk his professional credibility as a sports reporter to just rush something out there. I didn't get anything from Andy except - peace, love, and understanding - so I'm not seeing the glee. But I watched it to the end and heard words like "grace" being used.

There may or may not be a - none of our business - aspect to the underlying issues of the situation. There may also be issues that are when you're basically discussing the availability of an NFL player in an NFL franchise. A franchise that could really use his talents, right now. If you don't want to be the story, don't make yourself the story.

I hope Doubs and the Packers come out better (whatever that may be) on the other end of this, sooner the better.

This sure seems strange given what many say about Doubs? But I have wondered when some receiver on this talented group would pull a Diggs, and request more passes? I always thought it would be Watson - if he ever stayed healthy enough? But bottom line - even without Doubs, there are a lot of good receivers on this team who wouldn't mind his role. I have held the Green Bay media to higher standards. My impression with this piece is that Andy is trying to score points with Huber.
If this story is talked about on Monday by the national sports media, I can't imagine it won't have a deleterious effect on Doubs.

What happened to restraint, long-term implications, character? I can't imagine Matt La fleur is happy with Huber creating this massive distraction.. Most casual fans would not know anything about Romeo and whether he practiced or not but the NFL announcers will likely bring it to everyone's attention, especially since Watson is out.

Huber knew what he was doing and so does Andy. They have both lost character points with me and character is really all I care about.

Doubs has been one of my favorites since we drafted him in 22 ( I remember listening to the draft and begging gb to pick him and felt joy when they did ) since reading Taylor dunnes story about him I liked him even more . That’s why all this seems schockingly out of character for him . I hope he and the team can figure it out. But if not I’m going to be sad if he’s traded . Rumors flying - Steelers, chiefs, chargers ? If he is traded I hope gb can land a second rd pick - no less than a third for sure.Guess we now wait to see how it plays out ?

Romeo Doubs is nothing like Diggs. Please stop the comparisons.

Could surely understand Romeo’s frustration while Love was out. Last week Love wasn’t sharp. I hate to think Romeo is using the last 3 games as the basis for his disappointment.

Hey he has seen a pattern, start bitching and they get rid of you. Douglas, Savage, others. He wants out. I mean we go twvelve or thirteen, they use one less receiver in formation.
He apparently is that guy.
They all have incentive clauses too and when their time is cut jeopardizing the Benjamin's, some guys get pissy.

Even IF everything is true on Doubs I would never fault a receiver for wanting the ball more. Especially when you have won games with him. Not to play the devils advocate too much but we have been waiting 3 seasons for a #1 pick to get healthy and get his hands right ( Watson) at the detriment to other WRs.

Also, Doubs , Reed, Heath and arguably Melton all have just as good of hands as Wicks and yet he gets more opportunities. JMO.

So what if they have to pull aside Doubs and say “ hey, youll get your opportunities. Id rather have a WR that wants the ball than a # 1 pick who I can’t even remember the last time he played a full game and when he does play… its less than stellar, but yet gets coddled because of his draft status. The issues with Doubs can be fixed. I wont be quick to jump and say “ premadonna” because obviously the dude wants the ball and just likes to play football. Who the hell doesn’t want someone like that on your team. How many #1 picks did Belecheck let fade away to make room for the Wes Welkers of the world? Not comparing, but football is separated by players that produce vs ones that dont and Doubs has a very high catch rate….so why not play players with better hands in traffic?? Letting a possession type receiver go from some is just silly talk.

the most telling thing is the team went to his home and found him on Thursday, talked to him about it, and the next day he did it again. that's a big eff you to the team and his teammates. the amount of people on here that support Doubs is confounding. I have to assume they are younger and from the generations that never feel they should be held accountable, no matter what terrible thing they do. as a coach of 35 years (not football), I can tell you that when a player does this, it is very divisive, undermines the coach's authority, and throws a wrench into everything the team hopes to achieve. unless Doubs has a mental illness that needs treatment, he has to go, and he has to go now. an interesting development is the promotion of Rochelle to the roster. he can't go back down so there is no room on the roster for Doubs next week unless the team lets someone go. the writing on the wall?
