Drafting two LBs didn't help?
Well Payton Wilson would have.
Prediction- Unless Walker wants to hurt some people.
The LB position will be the achilles heal of the defense.
Walker isn't Campbell.
Don't let him play like it.
That best ILB is the one who hits.

Trade him. Walker maxed out in college. Payton Wilson is not doing much more than sp teams. Get Cooper on the field and get better. Get faster. I would let Hopper play some inside snaps. Eric Wilson is a classic WLB cover guy. He always played to the ball for the viqueens. Right, If you draft guys, play them.

Kyle van Noy - Remember him.
You have to give Walker time.
Hooper and Cooper will never stop the run.
Don't ever expect them to be as good as Urlacher.
Walker has the frame.
But I'm worried about his mean streak.
He just isn't showing up since MLF chewed him out
for that late hit, on a trainer.

Belichick passed over him for a reason. Get guys like Nick Bolton for the Chiefs. Van Noy? Then draft Jonah Ellis from Utah. The Lions screwed that deal up. He shined under Big Bad Bill.

Wilson has 3 tackles in 2 games. He’s been ok. Cooper has 5 and an assist on even his meager number of snaps. So I suppose this is just fantasy Gute hate as usual.

The LBs do appear to be the weakness of this defense. But why? They drafted 2 good LB prospects but they don't play them enough? And Walker is just plain weak against the run which is concerning. And Wilson looks to be great with very limited snaps? So why not play him more? Very confusing ...

Wilson and Cooper are so far competing for limited snaps as the 3rd LB spot only seen in base. Walker and McDuffie are manning the other roles full time. McDuffie only missed one linebacker dime snaps at the end of the last game.
This doesn’t change unless Cooper is moved. I’m not sure if Wilson is suited, but maybe he could too. Moving Cooper might enable a more suitable switch for Walker and perhaps more use of Wilson.
I have to think some change is coming. At the moment neither of the two spots out there in most plays is performing adequately. McDuffie is working his butt off, but he’s still not producing like a starter. Walker just seems miscast.
I know that there will be mistakes from Cooper, but it just seems like we are going to have to accept mediocrity as the best outcome or be prepared to face them in the near future.
