Andy, your point #1, LVN is SPOT. ON.

#2, Musgrave, JL10 leadership is what you're talking about. A calm mind while playing with his hair in fire? JL10 can mentor and otherwise impart exactly that. The TE coach would do well to point him in that direction and watch these two connect!

#3, Jayden Reed. I do NOT want to see him used as a return man! Ditto for jet sweeps / end around or other RB duties. Too much risk of injury. The biggest way I see him "improving* would be if JL10 is directed to always look at #11 first; if he's open go to him and good things will happen :)

Add to that the improvement inherent to starting your second season?!? OH MY GOODNESS ...

#4, Tucker Kraft. Mainly we're rooting for him to become a bulldozer. Does it make sense to also use him as the primary run blocker? The human body can only take so much before peak performance declines. Spreading this duty out helps everything, perhaps most notably keeping opposing defenses guessing. That has to remain MLF's primary strength. Fortunately there are lots of candidates for this role. #28 can only do it if he becomes violent enough, but the same is true of him as RB.

#5, Wooden run defense? Steel curtain is better, but running into trees is only fun if you're a moose. (And Gronk is out of the league) Wooden and LVN need to add hand fighting skills, and they both need more than "one go to move" because the league can learn to counter that too well. Working with the same specialist (inside or outside of 1265) might work?

#6 it's interesting that you place him next. He kept 2023 starter Will Levis off the field in College and 7th round pick Michael Pratt beat da Bares #1 overall pick :) GB has a good QB ROOM!

#7 Wicks. Like Reed, how do you improve so much to achieve a noticeable "jump?" What a scary thought for the rest of the league. A natural progression from these two would be GREAT news for every Packer fan.

# 8 Brooks. He and Wooden both need to improve run defense? Hmm, could coaching have something to do with that? This staff will hopefully get HUGE improvement from our entire defensive roster in this area. If successful, it will show up in red zone stops.

#9 Carlson had his mechanics screwed with, and largely, it worked for about half a season. He has to recover from limping when he was injured, add full speed kicking motion back in this season, and put all the pieces back together. Even if he doesn't win the starting job, I'd hope they at least keep him on the PS for a year to work on it. Unless Gutey gets a windfall of better kickers, of course.

#10 CV, I've got nothing to add to your observations and agree wholeheartedly. He's what, a 7th round draft choice? That's not a draft pick, that's a draft STEAL!

Great episode! Likewise for the one in which you speculated that our '24 starting O line could be Walker Morgan Myers Jenkins Tom, a formidable lineup.
