As I mentioned in the comments in podcast 198, I'm not looking to go edge with the first pick. I'd be spending my first pick on a DL at #12. I'm still looking to get an improved pass rush, but it's coming up the middle. I do like some of the somewhat bigger edge guys like Sweat and Ferrell from the outside, but I think the way I have done it is better value overall.

I'm looking for 3tech type penetrating defensive tackles at #12, like Rashan Gary, Jeffery Simmons, Christian Wilkins or (unlikely to be there) Ed Oliver.

At #30 I'd be hunting for the best OT available, as the talent left on the board will be a lot thinner by the next pick, #44.

At #44 I'd be looking for a better alternative to Nick Perry. My choice is a good sized guy (6'6", 275) with a great burst, Texas's Charles Omenihu. He has played out wide as well as inside. If he is gone, I'd be looking at Chase Winovich as the next best option.

I like the DT @12. Don't like Gary early! But whats wrong with Lawrence? Tested for pot but does push inside. He'll be gone by #30. I 'm all for trading the #30 pick. It cost TT a 2nd and 3rd to get CM3. I say trade it and take 2 OLs. Your pick of Omenihu is my choice @44.

I guess take the BPA regardless of position. The 3 tech guy would be a value pick as i see Daniels going downhill and could be trade material.

Gary and perry are inter change-able. Both are often hurt, go missing in games and are handled by the better o line men.
As a M fan , Gary was way over hyped. Ya big games against Rutgers and Indiana, not so against osu and msu and wisc
I noticed he was timely to he hurt just before big games.
He also was considering being on the mend like bosa and not playing to be a higher draft pick. Pray the pack passes on this bum
