I think 10 and the offense have exceeded expectations while the D has been very disappointing.
I think the vast majority of us would agree.

In retrospect, especially after seeing and hearing Alexander in the video clip where he's talking to reporters about his coin-toss mistake, he should have been suspended for the last two games of the season. I mean, man, Jaire was pure punk in his answers to the reporters.

Mainly, Jaire's arrogance regarding his coin-toss mistake/involvement, suggests that the head coach has lost control of his team. Why else would a player ( out for most of the season with an injury ) take it upon himself to go against protocol and then almost fuck the whole thing up. . . and then laugh about it afterwards? Talk about lack of discipline, tact, good sense, caring about the rest of the team, etc.

Maybe the Jaire incident goes a long way to explain the up and down nature, the inconsistency, of last year's play and this year's play.

I am beginning to seriously doubt the ability of Matt LaFleur as a head coach. As one writer has said, LaFleur should have fired his defensive coordinator at least two games ago to send a powerful message to the entire team about accountability. And LaFleur, not Gute, should have suspended Jaire because now LaFleur will be seen as being weak in disciplining coaches and players.

Continuing bad decisions all around. Not good. Not good at all.

It's not just Ja. Rasul Douglas and Campbell both also expressed frustration. Can you even imagine how frustrating it must be to try to play within this scheme? At the end of last season all the defensive players were promised they'd get to play more aggressively, and we knew it was just a matter of time before that was proven to be a lie.

MLF siding with JB over the players risks losing the rest of the locker room. One of the team's greatest strengths in TC was comraderie. Trying to preserve that by shedding all your best players is not a recipe for success.
