WR yards of forward progress per route run is a really strange stat. To talk about the "MVS role," it's effective even if he's never targeted. It makes the opposing defense send their fastest guy away from everybody else, which has the main benefit of helping somebody else get open. This role will inherently look terrible in that one stat. So what? MVS was not usually getting double teamed.

#9 came in and was an instant upgrade both in terms of catch % and route tree. Bo Melton should be used in that role when #9 is out due to injury, he's the fastest WR on the team.

When #11 is out at the same time that adds a wrinkle. Bo Melton is more capable as a direct substitute for #9 than he is for #11, plus there are other guys to play in the middle of the field.

When Dontayvian Wicks is out the closest direct substitute is Grant DuBose. This WR room is LOADED! And the receiving core includes #28, 33, 85 & 88. I would love to see all 4 on the field at the same time along with #9 at 100% when he's HOT.
