LaFleur has to go. No credibility as a leader and becoming toxic I suspect.

Atta boy Matt, throw everybody under the bus so you can keep protecting Barry and by extension your own inability to hire somone who isn't an inept bumbler.

Go back to being an offensive cordinator, because you're in way over your head as HC.

I haven't listened to this podcast yet and I will, but MLF's inconsistent success as playcaller makes me wonder how he'd do as OC and not HC. If he ONLY had to focus on offensive scheme throughout the week, would he consistently come up with a good game plan? Obviously none of us know that. Neither am I arguing he somehow "deserves a chance." It's just an academic exercise, wondering if he might be good. I reason he'd at least be better, and sometimes he's been very good. So, maybe?

His bad judgment on when to throw the challenge flag hasn't cost the game in a while; luck, not skill. His bad clock management didn't cost the game, yesterday. The 3 point win would've been 1 point had their kicker not missed two extra points. Against the worst team in the league this is just too close for comfort.

After every win I've critiqued the flaws, because they need to be corrected before GB gets another Lombardi.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but didn't LaFleur say he would be hand holding/helping Barry this week against the vaunted, Carolina attack?

If that's the amount of help LaFleur can offer, it's obvious that LaFleur cannot handle the other 2/3rds of his HC responsibilities - that is, defense and STs. He rode the backs of Rodgers and Adams and now he actually has to coach an entire team. It appears he is an OC masquerading as a HC! So, then by percentage, even if he was a perfect on offense (which he is definitely not), he would grade out at 33%. That is a abject failing mark!

The dynamic duo have again gave a subpar QB a career day! The worst team in the league scored the most points than they have all year. This brutal defense almost gave the game away again with 18 seconds left. It's unbelievably pathetic!

Barry is beyond all hope. LaFleur would rather throw his team under the bus rather than show the slightest hint of guts. I now see that clearly, LaFleur is the bigger problem.

FIRE LAFLEUR!

BO MELTON

That's what I want to focus on here: he should be used as a direct substitute for #9 when he's out due to injury. Not doing so is a coaching mistake. He can at least play the MVS role which helps even without getting a single pass thrown his way. He didn't look great on the jet sweep but it was still a positive play.

Andy, you shot yourself in the foot: if the GB defensive roster is #20-25 in the league then JB having them at #12 pass defense much of the season is pretty good. JB is terrible and his players always underperform. I would guess this roster talent on defense is 10-15 in the league, with the strength up front.

While I love Stokes and Ja being ready to play, we all talked about who SHOULD play. I think it's a mistake to bench the guys who have been carrying the G while the preferred starters were out, and then playing them so much immediately upon return. Play them, yes; let them re-adjust to game speed a little more gradually, both for results AND player health.

#99 J Ford. Elevate him against strong running teams. Another coaching mistake not to do so. A competent DC would make a bigger difference. I'm not sure Cox would help? #90 & 55 seemed to play a lot. Resting Gary and P Smith? I like the depth.

OFFENSE: #33 is back? I think MLF misused him. I'd rather see #28 run into a wall. I understand that calling 28 for that play probably broadcasts it. Unfortunately he's been the better receiver instead of 33, and with a club on his hand that's not an option so that adds to good reason to call #33 for those plays. I just hate risking him getting hurt again as soon as he's back. Agility and speed are clearly his assets, not running through walls. #27 is a substantial step back from 28 in that role but still competent both as a runner and a receiver.

Hopefully Kraft and #33 are at 100% Sunday. I would LOVE to see this offense with Kraft, Musgrave, #33 and 28, and #9 HOT all on the field at the same time! Who's stopping that? (Obviously the answer is whoever can dominate the O line)

All these coaching mistakes (and more) are on MLF just as much as JB. I still have hope for this team's future but if the executive board isn't going to make the necessary change that sets the path to excellence back by over a year. If 2025 is breaking in new staff that makes a Lombardi that year less likely, those changes should come sooner.

GPG! Playoffs are immaterial, but playing well in these next two games still matters.

Keeping Matt LeFleur and hoping things will be better next year is like putting FIX A FLAT in a tire with holes in it and thinking you will be ok for a long trip.
You might make it a few miles. LeFleur will win a few games. But neither will be adequate over the long haul.
I know Barry won’t be back. I’m pretty sure his replacement won’t be much better. Anyone short of Robert Saleh and this team is barely an also ran in 24.
Like Barry Switzer, MLF can only win with a push button team or superior assistants.
