This one is easy. Bakh is the most improved packer. Last year at this time he had no knee and now were told by his doctors he almost has his knee back but is in otherwise horsebleep shape.
Other then that I saw no improvement and for that a lot of regression. Adams lost a step and then some, King was just as bad as last year, when he played, Gary did get better but as a 12 pick is way behind others in that area who are racking up sacks and demonizing QB's. Our guy doesnt really do that more then once a game.
Keep in mind our competition this year was lousy.

Gary is a rotational player or haven’t you noticed?

Thank you all for a thought-provoking show. My two or more cents.
Agree that it was a fun year, with many highlights but ended in another disappointment.
Gary,Clark, Douglas, Amos, Stokes( rookie year),P. Smith, and Campbell were all a big thumbs up for me. To a lesser extent. Bojo, I think, was a good find and believe he will improve as a punter ( hopefully a holder too for FG's).
Runyun was solid all year, Newman I feel improved all year and he is a future guard as well. Meyers got hurt, but showed enough that is is the next long-term center. With Jenkins coming back, 100%, our youth on the OL, looks promising. Of course, getting Bak back with his contract set is an added bonus. Our backfield seems set baring injuries of course.
Agree whole-heartedly, that shifting the OL before the biggest game of the year was a head-scratcher for sure. Will never understand the thinking of it. I know that LaFluer had the final say, and Steno had to be involved to some extent, but I wonder if 12 had a say as well, or at least voiced his opinion. We all know how Rodgers is buddies with certain players , i.e. Adams and Cobb. He has always been a Billy Turner supporter, so just wonder. Maybe they were the best 5 individually, but were they the best 5 collectively? I agree Yosh, earned the right to start and I would take it personally too. Think they over thought that decision.
Packer nation and people I know have worried all year about ST's and that it would cost us at some point. We were lucky at points during the year, i.e. the Bengal game we easily could have lost. Agree again. LaFluer seems to have this loyalty factor in his decisions. It made no sense to change the ship's captain late in the year, but he could and should have canned Drayton earlier in the year so that is on him.
Coach LaFluer- think he is a good coach, creates a good culture, players respect him, and has a good offensive mind who struggles to make in-game adjustments. How much that is on him or Rodgers "canning" his plays or both is debatable, but have seen it surface not only this year but last year as well. He is still a young coach, so hope he keeps improving in this area. I even question if he should continue calling plays. I would have liked Getsy calling the plays or Hackett, leaving Matt to focus on all aspects of the team, i.e. Un-special Teams.
There are a number of great coaches not calling the plays.
Now Aaron Rodgers. I have mixed feelings how can one not. He has become a lighten rod in so many ways and I doubt he would have it any other way. I sort of view 12 has " stock neutral". I would not say down because he had a regular season MVP year.I would not say up, because he fell far short in the biggest game of the year- again. I won't get into all the good points you all mentioned pro and con. But like it or not, Rodgers gets paid millions to produce, he is the face of the franchise, so what he says does matter to an extent. I don't watch MacAfee or the other sports shows, but it is difficult to totally ignore because he makes the news across the board- sports shows, evening news, pop-up internet, etc. I am exhausted with it all. It seems to me that Aaron knows his playing days are numbered and is trying to create this post-playing career persona to remain relevant somehow. After all he went after the Jeopardy opening, etc. Think he likes to be seen as an intellectual. His right do say and do so what eh wants But how "all in" is he playing, sometimes I wonder. As Murphy said, " He's a complicated fella". Guess we have to take the bad with the good. But if the ultimate goal is the win the Super Bowl, do we really get there with him, without mortgaging the future? We are fans so Packer Mgt. has to make that call. Of course the elephant in the room is Jordan Love- is he or isn't he, that is the question?
