I am looking at Zach Kruse's article on PFF grades. I am thinking that these come out far too quickly and/or are otherwise highly questionable grades. 🙃 Yeah, I know I include PFF's initial recap in my snap count articles! 🙃

The fifth highest offensive grade was MVS at 61.4 and in the lowest offensive grades the highest was Aaron Jones at 50.3. That means the following had grades between 50 and 61: Runyan, Patrick, Davante Adams, Marcedes Lewis.

So, Newman (76.8), Turner (72.5), Jenkins (70.3) plus Patrick and Runyan at somewhere between 50 and 60 equals that running game. Pass pro was good though AR got the ball out reasonably quickly at 2.5 second per throw on average. Maybe Patrick and/or Runyan were closer to 50 than 61. Otherwise, I guess I expect a better OL performance than I saw.

Also, Adams producing 78 yards on multiple receptions around which this offense to a significant degree flowed gets a grade somewhere between 50-61 while MVS with a single 41 yarder earns him a low average grade of 61. Both played a lot of snaps.

Kenny Clark got a 58 grade despite a team high 8 pressures and 7 hurries. PFF dinged him for run defense and a missed tackle. Seattle's RBs only had 11 carries for 43 yards with Wilson adding 5 scrambles for 32 (total was a robust 4.7 yard average on the ground, I grant). Still, Wilson chucked 40 passes to at most 16 rushing attempts. So, it was 71.4% passing and 28.6% running; so assuming Clark got a good pass rushing grade, just how low does his run grade have to be to merit a 58? Clark did have just one solo tackle in 49 snaps.
