King is a shame. Looks good for about 15 minutes every 3rd game when he gets on the field. I wondered a while ago is Watt would have more sacks than king will games played, 8-6 for watt so far, 8-4 if you count games king finished. I physically hope brice is OK but I hope he never puts on the green and gold again, at least as a starter or preferred backup again. Perry and Cobb are old news, really hope gute has the balls to cut the 55 million dollar milk carton man next year

Kevin King is equivalent to buying a used car with only 1000 miles on it for half the price of the same brand new model car with 0 miles on it. You think you are getting a steal until you buy it and it breaks down before you get home. I wonder how long before the Packers move on and put King up for sale or worse yet have to call the junk car dealer to tow Mr. King away.

It's regrettable that King is oft injured but at least he plays hard and contributes while he is on the field. As opposed to Perry who we don't even know is in the game when he is healthy. Thanks, Since '61

It is regrettable. Just pisses me off because he could be a shut down corner. Instead he's just shut down.

I don’t know. I’m not sold on King. Saw a film study of him on another site which demonstrated that he was weak on change of direction and stopping and starting. OCs are seeing this and running a lot of double moves on him. He won’t be shutdown until he corrects that.

I'm sure King feels badly about his injury prone nature. I regret Cobb gets banged up too often. Hamstrings seems to be something that need more focus. With the young talent we have I think Cobb will be allowed to walk.

Perry has been better than Matthews when he's healthy.

Problem is, he's rarely healthy.

Regarding King, I'm just hoping we don't have to use high draft choices every year on CBs until the end of time. We have too many other needs right now. Maybe the best approach is to sign a free agent in the off-season as insurance.

No doubt you'll get your wish. --- Gute will have to jump into free agency after this season to greatly improve the Pack, both starters and some depth.

Not happening. Wilkerson signs a 1 year deal again. CMIII two year deal. Why. Because Gute will take two edge/OLB this draft. And they'll need time. Cobb is done. I have them going 2 DE/LBs. . Gary should be gone. My Eyes on: Josh Allen ILB/OLB , Montez Sweat. Lots of ways to go. But defense should be the first rd. picks. Not RT. Later yes.

All depends on how things fall and if Gute uses those two first rounders to maneuver. Would he package the two to move up for one guy GB targets as a blue chipper? Who knows. Expect the unexpected.

Also, is anyone else annoyed that NO is winning so much? I’d like to see them take a nose dive to improve that first rounder they traded to GB.

At this point we know they're winning their division, so draft order will be decided by playoff outcomes. Lets hooe they lose their first game. Still, seems a lock theyll be 24 or higher

Gute had to go into that deal expecting it to be a late first rounder. If GB got the guy they truly wanted in Alexander, even the 32nd pick in round one is a big win

Any pick at the end of round 1, given the ability to apply the 5th year option, has meaningful trade value even if there's not a player there you're dying to take.

Packers may need to start drafting players who have shown they are durable or at least not prone to injuries so frequently.
I do like the new receivers they have and it would be good if Rodgers trusts them enough to let them make plays on the ball, especially MVS.
Rodgers will need to use his tight ends more versus the Seahawks to keep drives going. MM needs to be aggressive offensively and not play to lose again to Seattle when the have a lead...no matter how big...keep going for TDs like they’re behind.

Pretty good football man.

Good Lord, King, Cobb, Perry that feels like the "Out" list every week. Cobb and Perry need to go this offseason. They never play anyway. Lot's of money we can fill with guys who can play. What's the difference. King is quickly trying to catch up. At some point, some guys just don't have the health to play professional football and you need to move on.

Packers need a reliable healthy King. The other 3 players = addition by subtraction.

Agree. King is a legit part time starter. The rest are/were just starters in name only. Fackrell is better than Perry at this point. Raven and Jones are upgrades over Brice and as for Randall Cobb. Nice human being but I'd rather have any of the 3 rookie receivers playing over him at this point. Hell, even Kumerow I would take over Cobb. I am a resultist. I play the guys that are getting results not guys playing based on what they did three years ago. We play with our young upgrades and we win win win!!

Yep. Good thing is we have a new sheriff in town and he’s not going to resign players to new contracts if they aren’t producing to help the team. A lot of players were drafted and didn’t develop, they will be deleted when their contract is up or cut sooner. Gutekunst will turn this roster over fast, he’s doing a great job...IMO

It really is a shame that Kevin King has had to deal with so many injuries, but I still think as fans we should give him another year to see how he handles things. Often when these guys come out of college they're not physically all the way up to the rigors of NFL football and take 2-3 years in the weight room and training before their bodies are ready to take NFL stress. There are players on every single roster like that being developed. We know King has a very nice skillset let's just hope his body is able to adjust to the rigors through more training.

King is made of glass. Hayward had early injury problems and recovered to be durable...even pro bowl durable after TT let him walk.

Perry is another of TTs first round busts. Even with his thick medical file, Ted still gave him a $60 million 5 year K after just one good year that anchored the salary cap to a ton of dead money. Cutting him would not gain the team much in cap space. Best option would be to attempt to trade him for a late mid-late round pick.

Brice is addition by subtraction as it forces Pettine to continue to give Josh Jones more snaps who has a great opportunity to continue prove his worth. He had a decent game last Sunday and on paper has the multiple skills Pettine covets.

Cobb...nice guy...but Like Jordy, his shelf life has expired. Another addition by subtraction. MVS is better. And ESB has more potential.

This is why I wanted the Packers to get Jarvis Landry. Packers knew they were going yo CUT Cobb. Packers could have back loaded this guy's contract after the 1st year, but the. PACK once again SCREWED up. Cut Cobb now and bring up KUMEROW!!!

King, Cobb, and Perry seem to be injured more than they play so the list doesn't surprise me at all. Brice would be better off to be on the sidelines watching, or on the practice squad. Greene should fill in nicely. He had a good game against Miami. I just hope with the short week that no one else gets injured. TNF sucks. If the Packers can keep it close they may just squeak out a win. It would not surprise me if this game went into overtime. Or if a penalty at at critical time cost the Packers a chance for a victory. It's been that kind of season. But still, as always, I will root for the Packers and hope for a win. Go! Pack! Go!

In all seriousness, what about Kumerow? Will we see that guy this year? Adams is healthy and the rookies are playing well. But why not throw him in there once in awhile? Rogers loves him, and would be an opportunity to catch opposing teams by surprise. I personally would love to see his added energy and enthusiasm sprinkled into our offense. At least a little bit.
