Here It Is! The 2025 Green Bay Packers Schedule

The Packers 2025 Schedule is Out!

The Green Bay Packers’ 2025 NFL schedule will feature eight home games and nine road contests and is highlighted by four prime-time contests. Of the 17 games on the schedule, nine will be against teams that made the playoffs last season, including four versus division champions.

The Packers will open the season at home for the first time since 2018 and only the third time in the last 13 seasons. Green Bay was the only team in the NFL to open the season on the road each of the last six years (2019-24). The Packers will host the Detroit Lions, marking the third time in the last four years that Green Bay has opened the season against a division foe. It will be the earliest regular-season game by date at Lambeau Field since the 2003 opener (Sept. 7).

Five of the last seven games are against division opponents and five of the last eight are on the road. The Packers can't afford a slow start to this season!

(all times are for Central time zone)

Thanks for printing it out with the days of the week listed, so I don't have to figure that out myself. The only real weirdness in this schedule, as far as I'm concerned, is two games against the Bears in three weeks. There's only one of those awful Amazon games, and I'm relieved that they're not playing on Christmas.

A slow start here and the rest of the season could be a trail of tears, 5 of the last 7 against Division, some hoped it and you got your wish.

Optimism as a main dish unsettles my stomach, I'll stick with the weekly reality with a side of hope. Besides, the preparers and servers of this optimism dish drop too many dishes trying to get to the table to warrant such a large gratuity. No, I'm a wait and see the service first, as I don't do mandatory gratuity.
Looks like 9 wins will be a battle, but we'll see.

Take a look at the schedule and tell me how many games they will be favored in? Just curious if it is close to your 9 wins as a battle to get to. You say your betting man so let’s see how close you come. I believe they will be favored in 12 or 13 of the 17 games. So, how do you come up with such a pessimistic viewpoint?

Are you making bets in May, I surely am not, unless it's an over-under. As to whose favored in any single game now is not what the spread will be in Sept as too much can change up to that time. Just because they may be favored in a majority of games now, doesn't mean they're winning those games when played. Sure, they're many pundits that will speculate those numbers, because it's their job. I see nine wins at the moment, and I'd say it's a safe bet that they'll win some underdog games and lose some favorite games, so it doesn't matter how many they're the favorites, I'm looking at winnable. Unless it's KC, Balt, Buf, Phi, getting more than nine is a battle for any team, less those that are likely to struggle to get 5, where their battle is to achieve 7-8. Though, I haven't scrutinized every team's schedule, they would be the automatic choices to achieve the higher expected wins.

“ Just because they may be favored in a majority of games now, doesn't mean they're winning those games when played”

Ok Ms. Obvious. Of course, being favored doesn’t mean you will win, but what it does show who is most likely to win. That’s all you can go on at this point and try to decide how many wins a team will have.

So, tell me how many of the games do you think we would be favored in?

Perhaps your sub-conscience is comparing now to then.

I lived through the 70's, and not as a child, and it's where I learned to keep optimism, especially blind-optimism in check, not dismiss it, but control it.

I will not, can not scream 17-0 every year. Not only that, but I refuse to play the fanatic fool, it would cost me too much money. I'm not just a Packer fan, I'm a betting fan, so scream about my opinion and scream your 17-0.

There’s a pretty wide gamut between 17-0 and struggling to make it to 9-8.

Those types of arguments are disingenuous at best and teeter on flagrant straw man-ism.

Just sayin’.

3 days off before the second game of the season could be a blessing or a curse depending on how that season opener goes.

It would really be great if the league only scheduled a team to play Thursday night after a bye week. Not realistic, but it would be a great way to handle them.

they are all better than last season....and we were not all that either. Every team in our division is on par with GB. we were swept last season minus a finger-tip FG block. 8 home games....2 first 2 weeks = 6 left and 15 games to go.

Outside of the division, our toughest games are at home. Our division competition doesn’t get that luxury. I see our Packers winning a very, very tight North. IMO, It will come down to Detroit and the Packers.

So, we have the toughest games as home, compare that to Detroit. Their away games are, Baltimore, Cinci, KC, Wash, Philly and LA Rams. That’s murder row my friend, not the Packers schedule where they have all of those at home. In addition we don’t play KC or Rams. We get AZ & Carolina.

I don’t like Thursday football games. The Packers have 2 of them on their schedule this season! How or why is that fair? Do the other teams in their division have 2 TNF games? Plus they have 4 division games in 5 weeks!!!

This will be a physically demanding schedule for the Packers. The bye in week 5 is at least a few weeks too early for what appears to be a grueling schedule. We’ll see.

I like the schedule because it's exciting and challenging, and devoid of AFC South teams. If we manage a good record, we'll have earned it. The only disappointing thing is that it's backloaded with division games, and it would nice to see them spread out a little more evenly.

Our defense better be ready for business in those first two games. Let's see how we do minimizing the impact of Jayden Daniels, and later on, Jamarr Chase with whomever(s) gets the pleasure of defending him.

Green Bay has had plenty of warning as to the caliber of the teams in their Division. Personally, I don't think they have taken that reality seriously enough, though. I don't see the urgency. My greatest concern is the Offensive coaching staff. There have been no changes in position coaches, most of whom are so-so. How will this year be better?

The earliest possible bye week (week 5). I hate it.

How often do we get a late season home game against the better versions of Minny and Detroit (dome teams) ? Answer - not often enough. Hate that too. We do get Chicago late, but they are not a dome team.

We start with two home games (couldn't care less about that), but then 4 of the next 5 games are away, which makes it excruciatingly difficult to recover our poise, if we don't start the season well - and often we don't.

We do get one good team late at Lambeau, the Ravens.

Overall...........yeah, you might have guessed, I don't like it at all

Having three days off before the second game of the season can be a double-edged sword. If the season opener goes well, it's a good time to rest and maintain momentum. But if it ends in a loss, the break might feel more like a mental setback. Ideally, teams would only play Thursday night games following a bye week—it’s not exactly practical with a packed schedule, but it would certainly help performance and player welfare

I was afraid if we started with a home opener with 9 away games that we'd get stuck with 3 road trips in a row. At least that didn't happen. The 4 road games with a home game sandwiched in the middle will be quite a test. To add insult to injury they follow up the early bye with a home game.

As was posted above, it was a blessing for Detroit to open outside at Green Bay and probably won't have to worry about cold weather till whenever they play at Chicago, if they weren't gifted that one early too. I'll have to look. All the indoor teams are scheduled when the weather will be milder except maybe the late November Vikings game.

Looking at this schedule, I can see an 11 win season just as easily as I can an 8 win season. If the Vikings QB situation works out and the Bears take a step forward, while the Lions survive all the coaching changes, this schedule will be a tough go of it. Here's to hoping for few injuries, players improving from last year along with proper coaching.

The Packers, even in the MLF era have been subject to having coaching poached because of success and dominance. This is the first time in a long time Detroit has had good run of seasons and people are making a bigger deal out of it than they should. What we want poached from Detroit is the winning culture. Get them back to being used to the cellar again.

It's also the first time Detroit has had to draft late due to having a decent record. Also, they finally ran out of all the extra draft picks from the Matt Stafford trade. Now we'll see if they can continue being respectable without top 5 draft picks.

I am not a fan of this schedule. Plain and Simple. I don't even look at the teams, I look at the flow of the schedule. I don't like the flow.

First off, they have a week 5 bye. I hate that early of a bye.

I love that they play the first 2 games at home. BUT they are against 2 post season teams from a year ago, and the 2nd game is a Thursday night. Also, they have 8 home games and 9 away games this year. And they use up 2 of the home games in the first 2 weeks. Which means after week 2 they have 6 home games left and 9 away games.

They have 3 sets of back to back road games this year. At Cleveland then Dallas. Then AT Arizona and then Pittsburg. Then At Denver and then Chicago.

3 of the final 4 games are on the road. And the last home game is against Baltimore.

Another interesting point. They play all the division opponents at home first then go to all 3 places in the second matchup.
And they play Chicago twice in 3 weeks.

This schedule doesn't have the softies built into it that last year's schedule did, and many of the softies (based on 2024) are on the road--which doesn't help. There will surely be teams that outperform our expectations and be tougher matchups than we expect, and there will be some real regression by some teams that played well in 2024. You can only play the game that's on your schedule this week.

I'll echo what others have said about not being a fan of the late schedule: 4 of the last 6 on the road including 3 road division games. It seems unlikely to me that--if this Packers team has moved forward this offseason--they'll go 1-5 in the division again. It's hard to win double-digit games in the league, much less 13+, so the Lions and Vikings are both ripe for regression. We know what the Vikes and Lions will likely look like, but this schedule gives 13 games to scout the Ben Johnson Bears...which I think is a plus. Week 4 bye...ugh.

Dobber, maybe I’m wrong in my perception, but I look at it just the opposite. I’d rather have the tough teams at home and the softies away. We should still be favored by at least 3 in all of those softy games. I do agree about all of the away games at the end of season being tough.

If you look hard enough, you can always find something bad about any schedule. I like the schedule because Except for Denver (Might be tough to duplicate last years record) the toughest teams we play are at home. I think that is a very big advantage.

I don’t like 3 out of the last 4 games playing away when we have an advantage of home field in December. It helps that 2 of those are going to be in cold weather at Denver and Chicago. I think this team is built more for a physical style of football so that will bold well in cold weather.

I don’t see much crazy with the schedule.

The league has been orchestrating division heavy scheduling over the last 1/4 of the season for the last 5-6 years to intentionally drive the probability of important games with playoff implications, and it’s been absolutely great.. so nothing unusual there imo.

I’ve said for the last three years this division is no longer a gimmie, and it’s going to be a dogfight for the north everybyear for the foreseeable future- and that’s a good thing.

Outside of what we already know is now a tough division, I don’t think this schedule is particularly taxing. It’s not a breeze, but it shouldn’t be. it’s just football.

Don't get me wrong- a weak division helped the Patriots during their heyday.. but I absolutely believe the trial by fire tempers the team for a playoff run- and if they fail to get into the playoffs due to a tough schedule, they weren't good enough to be there anyways.

Football wouldn't be rewarding if it was easy.

I’m a Gold package ticket holder. It would be nice if you would list which games are the Gold package games. I found out elsewhere that it’s the Commanders and the Eagles game. The preseason game is the Seattle Seahawks on August 23.I heard that when Bob Harlan was President the only request he made of the NFL was not to schedule Gold package games for night games because people have to drive back to Milwaukee and other parts of the state. The Hotels all jack up their prices so you have to drive home at one or two in the morning.

In a sense the schedule is relative considering our nfc foes have the same daunting tasks. If you went 8-9 and your foes did worse you win div and play at home for one playoff game at least.
Who cares just enjoy football. Seems the NFL has kc all set for another sb run. They so love the Swifties and the ad money that brings.
