Gut Reactions: Packers kick the Cowboys ass

Aaron gives his gut reactions to the Packers domination of the the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.

  • Matt LaFleur is awesome.
  • What a game from Aaron Jones.
  • Any time Jerry Jones loses, America wins.
  • Hope Mike McCarthy is renting.
  • I love that the Packers didn't 100 yard receiver until Week 17 and then Doubs had over a 100 in the first half tonight.
  • Joe Barry saved his job and then put it back in jeopardy.
  • Jaire Alexander is that dude.
  • (Hope he's alright but it didn't look good)
  • I still can't believe that Savage pick six.
  • Jordan Love had multiple plays where he owned the line of scrimmage pre-snap and then took advantage post-snap.
  • I'm glad Carlson was there to remind us that this wasn't a dream
  • I love this team.
  • Go Pack Go.

In honor of MLK Jr Day tomorrow, I have a dream:  Belicheck goes out like he came in--as a D coordinator...our D coordinator.  Opposite ends of manhood with MLF & Bill in coachspeak, but name a better mentor for MLF's shortcomings than the GOAT? (apologies Mr. Lombardi)  LAC is an appealing spot with Herbert, DAL could easily be another full helm opportunity, but Bill doesn't have much time left--why not go with a youthful team that appears close in a lesser role?  Transforming our defense into a terrifying unit is a TALL order--something we've yearned for since 2010 and got in the way of numerous Super Bowl appearances during the last 12 years.  Ideally a younger candidate like Ejiro comes in, but I'd be elated if we entertained the idea of Bill hopping on board, adding to his legacy.  Titletown at its finest?
We're not going to see Lambeau anytime soon, still wonder if nice playoff weather environment would have changed outcome of the last few year's shortcomings.

Maybe. If he just wants to wind down and go out quietly he might like that. He’s also really into football history, too and there’s certainly a lot of that in GB. Nevertheless , he’d be more likely to go back to the Giants for that quiet wind down.

NYC is in no way a quiet wind down. Bill has mad respect for the Packers. It's also foreseeable that he might prefer avoiding an even colder playing environment, but I hope 1265 pursues every opportunity they can offer him.

I'd love to see Belichick come in as both DC and HC if he wants both, and move MLF to OC. By the time Bill wants to retire, MLF would certainly be a better coach in any capacity, but I doubt he'll ever excel at both HC and game calling at the same time. It's just too much for him, and might be too much for anyone. Clock management, challenge & personnel decisions, in-game adjustments; all those duties are very different when you simultaneously need to pick the ideal play right now.

Awesome!!!
Maybe a big part of the illusion of complexity is the opposing defense not knowing if we're going to run or pass . . . so that they're less likely to stop either.

I've never- and I mean never- to the best of my recollection, seen an NFL kicker flat out miss as many extra points as this guy has.

He's what we're stuck with through the rest of the playoffs, though.

For the love of god, kid.. get it figured out.

Are you sure about that?

I'm the first to admit I'm no placekicking coach, but I've tried to look for what looks like variance in snaps and holds on those missed extra points compared to the ones that go through the uprights, and I just don't see anything.

Again- I'm not trained in the details of kicking- I'm seriously asking- are you sure about that?

Lot of the misses have come on snaps that are wide or high. It just takes longer to get the hold and that messes up the timing. You need precision and the snaps haven’t always been so. Too late to do anything about it this year but they need to see more precise placement from the LS next preseason or they will need to find a new LS.

Not just bad snaps but so bad that the holder can't always get the laces facing the right direction in time. Yes, that's a thing.

I think #17 is also still less than 100% consistent on his own, and it's connected to recovering from injury before he was drafted.

It's a work in progress ...

I wouldn't go that far.

I think he developed a quirk during recovery, perhaps from walking with a limp. I also think he'll be fine. Notice that after the miss, his next kick was dead center. During TC his misses and even the kicks he made would always be off to the same side, and that problem would come in bunches. After TC and before week 1 they changed his mechanics, to slow down his kicking motion and increase accuracy.

It WORKED.

Now I hope that this off-season he can regain his natural power without sacrificing accuracy.

It's not really the snapper, then, is it?

Wouldn't that be the place holder?

I haven't seen any extra points where the snap is so high or off the mark that the holder had to stand upright or get off balance to bring it in.. I'm pretty sure the expectation is if the placeholder gets the ball in his hands, he gets the ball set and ready to kick- is it not?

Whoever is responsible- they need to get it fixed. Like.. yesterday.

He certainly DOES.

They deliberately slowed down his kicking motion trying to increase accuracy. They made that change before week 1.

Anytime you mess with mechanics like that, you're going to experience a setback. Hopefully he can pair his natural power with the increased accuracy in time for next season. I would look for his year 3 to be better than year 2. Notice that Mason Crosby's FG % was never this good until year 5 of his career.

I am capable of assessing multiple facets of the game separate from one another like most people here.

Missed extra points matter. As much as I hope it is so, not all games are going to be double-digit wins. It would really, really suck to lose in the playoffs by a one point margin because what is considered the closest thing to automatic points in the NFL was choked away. Extra points matter.

I haven’t liked this kicker all year. We need to pray we don’t need a FG to win a game, and we need to keep looking. With Mason I was always anticipating it being good. With this guy we just know a miss is coming in every game. It’s brutal drama we don’t need.

Than you forget Mason's season with just 65% hits on FG. The worst in the league that season.

It is easy to spit on anyone without a knowledge what is going behind. Btw, Cowboy kicker gor NFL record by not missing one FG this whole season. And he missed one point conversion, too. Also, it was reported that Packers intentionaly placing kick aroung goal line, with intention to make field longer for opponents if they try to bring the kick off in.

Finaly, near the end of the game (after last Packers TD) Carlson put kick off 10 yards behind the end zone. So, it is not just leg strength, it is directive where coaches wants to place kick off.

Also, Carlson have 1 of 7 OPC missed with 1 of 4 missed by Cowboys kicker... My conclusion is that Carlson has a better record in that game...

Not only were we even with Dallas in missed extra points yesterday, but there were several other close calls this weekend, both made and missed. His FG % is excellent, 3 is more than 1, the kid will be alright.

This off season is the time for him to put this season's increased accuracy together with his natural power. I'm still shocked they didn't even add a backup - what if he got hurt? They wanted him to get every rep, but balancing that against competition at the position?

Un-effing-believable for 54 minutes. Never imagined a blowout.

Jordan made some incredible throws, and that 33 is pretty good. Credit the OL, too, but Dillon doesn’t make it to or though the holes Jones did today.

A pick six!

Micah who? (again, credit the OL)

As I said pregame, Dak can and will soil himself on the big stage. Make his playoff record 2-5.

Special Teams? Kick-off coverage was great, punts, too. Pretty clean, minus the missed XP.

Never thought I’d see the dawn and sunset of the Clifford Era today. Where’s the CHTV “play Clifford, now much worse can he be?” crowd these days?

I started feeling bad for Mike in the 4th quarter. Jerruh will likely shitcan him because “America’s Team” hasn’t sniffed and NFC Championship Game since 1995. 1995! Maybe Mike will contend the Cowboys just ran out of time?

That said, it’s always the best to beat Dallas, especially in Arlington. AT&T Stadium. Jerry Built it. The Packers Own It.

That was a great win. A playoff win. A road playoff win. Eff, yeah!

In the first half when it counted, the Cowboys were completely crushed. Stats are not going to really show the magnitude of this pounding. After 27-0, the rest of the the statistics are skewed., 7 TDs will win most games.

Agreed. Barry ball works from 27-0. Still not my preference, but it is the correct application for it. What he had them doing in the first half would have helped in every one of this season's losses. Some of those the players may have failed to execute, but given the win in KC 12-5 was possible without any miracles needed.

I really do not want to see him piss away 7+ games yet again next season, this roster deserves better.

Yup.

If there was ever a good use for the word "continuity," it would be having our defense play aggressively and DOMINATING. The sheer force of habit of playing "soft" is a dangerous thing to flirt with; however spreading reps across all 48 on the active roster is great for team building!

Truth, but less than 100 in the first half, and I think a 39.9 QB rating at the half.

He chucked it 60 times against the Barry Prevent (the win) D in the second half. He wasn't sharp from the get-go. It's the "and lost" that always is part of the Dak narrative.

Hey, so Dak Prescott lost a playoff game. Do you have to rub it in?

I mean, he lost. AGAIN. He got absolutely trounced, by a defensive unit that hasn't played at all consistently. They could have continued with the strategy that worked and limited Dak to far fewer points, and far fewer yards. For whatever reason, JB decided on a different objective because Dak Prescott LOST, ok? Oh and the GB offense could have continued to score, put up well in excess of 50 points, maybe 70. Was the HC just trying to be classy? He obviously took steps to avoid injury to key players after it no longer mattered because Dak Prescott had already, and very obviously, LOST. That was made clear before halftime. It was there for everyone to see, Dak LOST that game. He came in, didn't have a connection to his WR1, tried everything, eventually got it going after there was no possibility of winning, but their season is OVER. Because Dak Prescott LOST.

But there's no need to keep repeating that! I mean, by now, doesn't it go without say that Dak LOST his most important game of the season, and perhaps his career?

Also impressed by the total WR room. Seems like someone different shines each week. He didn’t break any big runs (yet), but it was nice to see Wilson in the lineup. Also the first time in a long time where GB overcame the officiating. That “ horse collar “ call was terrible. A dallas defender had a helmet to helmet on Love that was a no call. And Jones was flipped by a facemask that was also a no call. And Quite a bit of no call PIs on our young receivers Dallas defender’s we’re grabbing the whole time before the ball even got there. #31 Wilson got a first down being used as a bell cow for three plays in a row. That's not enough for Gutey to really evaluate him, I would have liked to have seen him kept in there instead of 27 who is very much a known commodity, and even instead of bringing #33 back out late.

I was also hoping Mt Caleb, Telfort and Tenuta, 3 huge OTs, might get at least their first NFL snap before the draft. Instead Newman and Nijman got snaps; they are also both known entities.

I am entering the realm of becoming angry that MLF's offense wasn't implemented 3 years ago, simply because the QB was sure he was the smartest guy in the room and had the audacity to simply dictate how the offense would be instituted.

Look at this offense. It's a freakin' thing of beauty.

It will be interesting to see how a team that is intimately familiar with the scheme challenges Love and MLF's offense next week.

Big challenge. 49ers are a next-level team the likes of which this young Packers squad hasn't gone up against this season.. Win, lose, or.. well, there's no draws in playoff football, but in any case, everyone is going to learn a lot about this team next week.

SF beat GB in the weight room.

TB pressured the QB mercilessly.

It may be that nothing MLF and AR combined could have done would have won any of those three games, but we'll never know. I just hope they continue playing well Saturday ...

Well I think a lot of the execution this year is because Love doesn't care who he throws to. Whomever is open gets the ball. As soon as Lamb started whining (early 1st quarter) Dak started forcing it to him and hence the interceptions. AR did the same with Adams and it cost us the NFC Championship game vs SF...

"I am entering the realm of becoming angry that MLF's offense wasn't implemented 3 years ago, simply because the QB was sure he was the smartest guy in the room and had the audacity to simply dictate how the offense would be instituted."

I entered that realm a few weeks ago. I started wondering, What If? Especially after the 2021 season.

But you know what Oppy? Let's say F It, enjoy what could possibly be and even MORE special QB, and put Rodgers in the rearview mirror.

I loved what Rodgers did for the Packers for many years. That time ran out a few seasons ago, it's ALL about Jordan Love. The other guy? I'll welcome him back with open arms 5 years after he finally retires.

I'm looking for redemption at Lambeau. 2 Lombardis over the entire careers of the last 2 QBs is NOT enough!

This draft, focus on the O line while the secondary keeps improving. '25, focus on the secondary and maybe even be able to afford a top FA? The weaknesses on this roster are getting whittled down ...

What would a hybrid DB / ILB look like? #58 is listed at 227#, 6'1". Tariq Carpenter was listed as 6'3" 230# and they tried to move him to that role. I don't know what would be different, but apparently 1265 buys into the idea that this would be an improvement.

I can see value in versatile football players that can pass rush, cover, run stop, have great instincts, high football IQ, and are drafted in early rounds.

Dak has a play-off record similar to our former Qb now being a burden in the Jets world. Three back to back 12-5 seasons for Dak. ZERO post season wins. Dallas faces a $60 million cap hit next year with a Qb with a proven losing record in the play offs. The Cowboys also must pay up for Lamb & Parsons. Add to the fact that Dallas is "controlled" by Jerry Jones. The fan base wants McCarthy's head also. There are hard times in Dallas right now.

What an incredible game, a complete surprise really, But the offense is razer sharp and unstoppable right now. My only beef is Coach Matt put in the backup too soon, maybe the 3 minute mark, not the 6 minute mark. Love looks like the next great Packers QB and those WR's are young and talented.

It worked.

I would like to have seen many things done differently at that point in the game: give snaps to at least one of the OTs on the bench who hasn't played a single down in the NFL, continue to use #31 as a bell cow so Gutey can evaluate him before the draft.

It was still a W!

48 points. That is what offense looks like. Guys guy blocked, backs hit the holes, receivers got open, Love got them the ball. Just about every single play worked.

It's not defense that wins. It's scoring points. Lots and lots of points. And this was against one of the better defenses in the league. This was one I'll remember for a while.

dominant on both sides of the ball. and even the football gods had Dallas give back the inexcusable missed PAT. i thought MLF who called a superb game should have waited one more series before sending in the subs. but i am not sure i can recall this big and dominant of an upset where the Pack was a significant underdog in my many years. and what a game from Love, took his hits and found the open man again and again. and what a difference it makes to have Jones back. top priority: make sure he is back next year.

You guys weren't alone. The pre-game shows were all positive the Cowboys were destined to move on. Instead, it seems likely that the head coach will be the one moving on. Because JJ is desperate for another SB. And don't expect the Dallas fans to stay down long. Once a new coach is in place, they'll start up with the "It's our year!" nonsense again. And once again, the Cowboys will crash and burn once they hit the playoffs.

That was awesome. The 2 te sets had them guessing all day. Aaron Jones is the best back playing right now. The wrs are so young and so deep and so fast. There is so many awesome things about this young team, and I haven't even mentioned love yet. With these 5 young wrs and Jordan love, Kraft, and Musgrave, they have 2 more seasons before even thinking of having to give any of these guys a contract. Also have to credit Joe Barry for his 5 man fronts, at least til the prevent crap at the end

Totally agree, and was looking forward to some of the 2 TE sets. Also, I have to watch the replay but I believe the Pick-6 by Savage was a blitz forcing Dak to make a quick decision. What was interesting to me was that Dallas tried to force the ball to Lamb when it was obviously not happening and failed to discover a difference maker except Ferguson in the Red-Zone. Meanwhile, Doubs/Love was killing them with the crossing patterns....something Aaron did not like to throw.

Packers have beaten 3 of the top 13 seeds in this year's playoffs and it can arguably be stated, they should have beaten the other 2 they played.

That win goes into Packers folklore

I'm really loving this 12 personnel sets - and even more now it means something completely different!

Some of the throws that Love made were extraordinary....... "the king is dead - long live the king"

Good that MLF trusted Aaron Jones enough to keep feeding him, even when he took a while to get going.

Tucker Kraft has now had blocking assignments against the who's who of EDGE rushers and helped neutralize them all!

The DB's as a group are better with Jaire Alexander on the field - let's not kid ourselves that Corey Ballantine is a plug and play replacement.

Myers and Runyan have quietly elevated their respective games.

The MLF offense is quite a spectacle.

Love: His meteoric rise continues. Passer rating nearly perfect. Enough said.

Offensive line: Allowed Jones the opportunity to run wild, and by the way, did not allow a sack. Excellent job.

Doubs: Ignore him at your own peril. Managed to find the open areas and caught everything thrown his way. Nice maneuver and sit down on his touchdown. Maybe Quinn was thinking about defending other players, but I'm sure he won't be forgetting about Romeo anytime soon.

Although the defense let down a bit at the end, you really have to give them a ton of credit because they never gave the Cowboys much hope to get back in the game. They did a good job stopping the run (with the exception of a few scrambles), they tackled well, did an excellent job on Lamb when it mattered, and seized turnovers when they came their way (with the exception of Campbell at the goal line).

I've posted my fair share of criticism of MLF and Barry during the season, but they won their respective coaching battles in spectacular fashion today. Might not want to take those starters out prematurely, though...but no harm, no foul.

Congratulations young Packers for a dominating playoff win against a much-ballyhooed opponent that likes to think of themselves as "America's Team". LOL!

Yes, the offensive line did a great job. But, and this might be my imagination, Love deserves some of that credit. He does not spend all day back there trying to find someone to throw the ball to. He drops, looks it over and throws (and if he is pressured, he always seems to know where he is going to throw it before the pressure gets to him.) The line must love that about Love. They only have to hold up a short time.

This offense is a joy to watch.

Agree with you both. The observation on Jordan and our D is SO true! I believe Dak had more time than Jordan did tonight and yet we had the Cowboys receivers pinned for important parts of the game. And, Jordan buys time and finds ways to get the ball to where he needs.

JL10 has gotten MUCH quicker at getting the ball out. Before and after the Pittsburgh game is a night and day difference; that's also when he learned to throw the ball away to avoid the sack. Our O line isn't giving him time for a coke and a smoke very often, usually pressure gets to him a split second AFTER he gets rid of the ball.

Call that whatever you want but it's WORKING

Jordan loves complete control of the offense(and the fact that everyone who jumped ship to be on the jet's Super Bowl team is watching this on the tube like me0 Aaron Jones!!!(and if he is removed for cost cutting this year, somebody needs to be canned) The defense, which for 50 minutes looked very good, and then went back to looking like shit the last ten or so. All those wideouts and tight ends looking great-Musgrave kept his feet to score!! Im very pleased, there was much angst on the field, in the media, and on this forum this year, but, its all coiming around THIS shareholder approves a new contract for love, finding a way to let aj play a few more years here, and an extension for MLF GOPACKGO-BTW, Barry is still fired.

Rough day for all of the people who think Matt LaFleur is an idiot who needs to be fired. Even Joe Barry may keep his job now, although I think they would need at least another win or two for that to happen. Pulling the starters too early is on LaFleur, not Barry. The Packer victory in Dallas is the NFL story of the week without question. I have to admit I didn't expect this kind of performance in Dallas, but I couldn't be happier. We have ballers at QB, WR, OL, RB, and LB. There's no other way to spin it: we kicked McCarthy's ass up and down. It will be interesting how he and Jerry are going to answer to Cowgirl Nation on this one. The Pack did what they needed to do. No matter what happens in SF next week, our '23 season is a success with a whole lot more to look forward to in the draft to fill the cupboard with new players for the '24 campaign. This will go down as an instant classic that will live long in the memory: where were you the night the Jordan Love-led Packers destroyed the Cowboys in the playoffs?

The NFL is about explosive plays, and holy shit did they have a lot of them tonight. Love carved their defense to shreds. Aaron Jones is not falling off the cliff that most RBs do at that age.

One unsung hero of tonight was the offensive line. Love was not sacked once and the line only gave up 4 pressures.

That's it. Combine a red hot run game with a variety of weapons at WR and TE and now you have to pick your poison.

The only blemishes on an otherwise sublime performance all around was the missed extra point by Carlson (not again man), stupid penalty by Slaton and giving up too many garbage TDs late in the game. I do give Joe Barry credit - but I feel conflicted as I don't think he's the answer at DC for the long-term.

Nevertheless, I'm going to sit back and enjoy this. As somebody noted farther above, we ain't nobody's underdog. I love this team, warts 'n all. Bring on the Niners. GO PACK GO!!

How bout ceedee lamb in the first half all shook up? It looked like our corners were getting in his head and roughing him up a bit... Usually the superstar wr kills green bays defense, it was nice to see him all shook up and rattled.

I'm not sure if that was more on Dak or what, but they were NOT on the same page until it was too late.

I'll also point out that the major turnaround for GB started when our offense started playing on the opening drive. Before that it was like a different team.

1. This was an fn beat down. The offense kicked ass all game and the d made some plays too.
2. Frisco peaked weeks ago and are ripe for a team who has nothing to lose.
3. Receivers aren't dropping every other ball today. Solid effort using speed and route running.
4. Barry better give up the prevent hasn't worked in three years. Play man and roll the dice
5. Niners QB can be bad when pressured. This is no gimme for Frisco.

I told you...We could dominate on the ground and air if our youth shined. JL is throwing dimes everywhere. Jones running hard. OL blocking. DL pressuring and back end cleaning up. SF is a big test.... MUCH HARDER OUT. We have more offensive weapons. Definitely need to get up on them also. DL will need to be great on the run and pass rush get home. Hope Alexander is not hurt too bad. Too bad pulling starters early means other team takes full advantage...no honor there. ......Packers still undefeated in that stadium. GPG

I made a comment during this game that we should put in our 2nd string offense, and it was too soon. I was wrong.

Below are some of the comments I read this season that IMO were unfounded:

Doubs is at best a #4 receiver - (he dominated this game, and aren't you glad you have him on this team?)
Aaron Jones may not be the same back - (he makes this offense multi-dimensional and appears to be getting STRONGER)
Jordan Love will never be a Franchise QB (?)
MLF needs to be fired (?)
Gutenkunst cannot draft - should be fired (?)
Kraft may be a washout. He's just a guy (Can you imagine this run without him?)
Alexander does not want to play football (That interception was all desire)
Watson is soft (not tough) - try pulling a hamstring a couple of times and have confidence enough to play and block strong later in the year. (I have ruptured mine in the past....not fun!). Although I would love to have him FULLY back, we need to get him 100% healthy as this will change the dynamics of this offense even more.
GO PACK!!

Haha—what a satisfying win.
I predicted a win if Carlson made all his kicks—we won anyway.
I’m saluting the a$$hats of the Fox pregame show; none of these dorks had the courage to pick the Packers.
And Jimmy Johnson’s halftime rant is one of the most pathetic demonstrations of biased commentary per a national tv audience I’ve ever witnessed—he should be fired.
On to San Fran—I despise John Lynch; I’ll free agent my team to a SB…and the Shanahans’, whom I also despise—speaking of Mike Shanahan too.
Go Packers!!!

Agree about John Lynch. He was always a dirty, late hit specialist as a player. His current defense takes lots of cheap shots as well. I'd love to see the young Packers wipe that smirk off his face.

A totally dominant win by the Packers. Excellent achievement for such a young team. The final score was not indicative of how dominant the Packers were over the Cowboys. This team is peaking at exactly the right time. Who knows how far this team can go?

Love and Jones led the way on offense. Both had great games. Which means that the OL had another excellent effort. The defense played brilliantly until the final 6 minutes of the game.. The Packers are a completely different team than the team which started the season 2-5.

The great ride continues. On to San Francisco. Go Pack Go! Thanks, Since '61

Cousins, Goff & even Fields can put together good games. None of them could do what Jordan Love did to the Cowboys tonight.

It's a team game and not to diminish the many outstanding performances by other Packers in this playoff game, like Jones and Doubs in particular, but it's downright spectacular how Jordan Love has progressed in his first season as a starter. He's already established several milestones.

Like many others, I was lukewarm to thumbs down about him earlier in the season. Boy, was I wrong! He is a major talent who can throw dimes from off platform, is posed, and now shows excellent decision making. He has all the ingredients of an elite QB.

No knock on Purdy, who I respect as a tremendous top tier talent, but I wouldn't trade Love for him... unless the Niners threw in a high draft pick!

I must admit that a month ago I felt that Jones was too old and beat up to be the #1 RB going forward. But these last 4 games, Wow! Just Wow!

The emergence of Love has been phenomenal! Shame on all who thought he wasn't the guy earlier on. But part of that was on LaFleur too. Once he realized that Love's strengths wasn't throwing 5 yard passes, he set him loose.

I feel for McCarthy having to work for a whacko like Jones. Interesting thought - I felt that the reason Quinn stayed with Dallas was because he felt he might be the next HC should McCarthy fail? Well, after giving up 48 points to a #7 seed, I wonder how high his stock value is with Jones right now re: being the next HC? GPG

WOW!! What a great day. I heard they had to bring in a truckload of tissues delivered to Jerry Jones skybox. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

The game really seems to have slowed down for Love. He gets through his progressions and finds the open receiver. Credit the Oline for giving him enough time too.

Aaron Jones is fabulous and we need to find a way to keep him. I am not a fan of restructuring everyone on the team because its easy to see the trouble it got us into salary cap wise. We still have a year of pain to go through, but if Jones gives us any kind of discount, GB needs to bite the bullet to keep him on the team. Yeah he was hurt this year, but he seems to have alot left in the tank. We still need to be prudent and draft a good RB who can run, catch, and block. Braelon Allen, Marshawn Lloyd, or Ray Davis would be great and will be available after the second round.

Good defense in the first half and early second. Barry still needs to go.

Critical for the defensive guys that got dinged up to heal and be ready to play against 49ers. Everyone realizes the Niners are a great team and will be favored. but they had a stretch earlier this year when they locked ordinary. Purdy has had a nice year, but really turned the ball over in bunches during that stretch. All teams are an injury away from losing a game. Look at the Niners in the playoff game last year. They are not unbeatable even with all that talent. After this Dallas win, our young guns will not be intimidated. Playing in good weather favors both teams.
