During this tumultuous NFL offseason, Charles Woodson continues to quietly go about his business. Much like his play on the field, Woodson is a selfless leader off the field as well.
This Saturday, July 23, Woodson will be hosting a fund-raiser in West Bend, Wisconsin to benefit the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. A $175 ticket will get you wine from Woodson's "TwentyFour" vineyard paired with a three-course meal.
In his collegiate days as a Michigan Wolverine, Woodson and his teammates would visit patients at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, and in 2009, the Packers cornerback donated $2 million dollars to the hospital. In addition to this substantial gift, Woodson's business venture also donates $10 to the hospital from every bottle of wine sold.
If $175 is too steep for your budget, you have another chance to meet the Pro Bowl cornerback on Thursday, July 21. Woodson will be autographing bottles of his wine and taking pictures with fans at WineStyles in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
Just in case it wasn't enough that Charles Woodson helped lead the Packers to a Super Bowl Championship, he now allows us to feel good about ourselves for purchasing a bottle of his wine. Is there nothing the man cannot do?

It truly is a wondrous story and something of a rarity to have a heisman trophy winner, someone who had all the potential and hype in the world, fulfill that promise and become something even more. I think we are all incredibly fortunate that he is a Packer.

He obviously has incredible talent. Is it possible that the Packers brought out his inner goodness?
