Derek Sherrod Reportedly Gets NFL Tryout
Former Green Bay Packers first round draft pick Derek Sherrod was the subject of just one of several Packers-related tryout news items published on Tuesday.
According to Field Yates of ESPN.com:
Source: the Titans worked out former Packers 2011 first round pick OT Derek Sherrod.

After being released by the Packers and not being picked up on waivers, this is the first reported interest an NFL team has shown in Sherrod.
It will be interesting to see if any team will be willing to take a chance on the talented big man, who might be perceived as damaged goods after the broken leg he suffered in 2011.
Another former Packer received a tryout as well, per reporter Howard Balzer:
Saints tryouts at safety: M.D. Jennings, Kenny Phillips, Jamarca Sanford

Finally, the Packers also had a trio of tryouts, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, although none have been signed at the time of publication:
#Packers worked out 3 today: DT Kenneth Horsley (Mesabi CC) S Kimario McFadden (S. Carolina St) LB Chaz Sutton (South Carolina)

Hoping MD can help the Packers by playing for the Saints.

Good luck to Mr. Sherrod. As far as I can see, He did everything possible to come back.
