Clay Matthews Limited in Practice with Groin Injury

The Packers linebacker is recovering from a groin injury suffered in the Lions game.

All 52 members of the Green Bay Packers took part in practice on Wednesday as they begun preparations for the Chicago Bears, including linebacker Clay Matthews, who left the previous Sunday's game due to a groin injury.

Even though Matthews practiced, he was classified as a limited participant.

"I just watched him a litte in individual (portion of practice), said head coach Mike McCarthy. "I don't really have a beat on him yet ... Clays' going to do everything he can, and we just take it day by day."

Others who were characterized as limited were linebackers Nick Perry (wrist) and Brad Jones (quad).

McCarthy did not know whether Perry's injury was related to the broken wrist he suffered as a rookie in 2012, which caused him to be placed on injured reserve.

Even though Jones was a limited participant, it was the first time he practiced since the season opener against the Seattle Seahawks as he was withheld from each of the last two games.

Also listed on the injury report as full participants were cornerback Davon House, offensive lineman Bryan Bulaga and wide receiver Jarrett Boykin, all of them with knee injuries.

House was observed wearing a sleeve over his knee:

What a surprise, Nick Perry has a wrist problem. This guy is 4-5th round talent in a 1st round draft pick's contract and expectations.
