Aaron Rodgers walks and talks with Chris Simms, says some interesting stuff
The Packers quarterback talks about how he's evolved his throw, new pass interference replay rules, learning under Brett Favre and more.
By PackerAaron
NBC Sports analyst and former NFL quarterback Chris Simms recently got to chat with Aaron Rodgers on the golf course.
My favorite part comes at the 4:45 mark when Rodgers goes into some detail about quarterback mechanics and how it all ties into the legs. Unfortuatyely this is the one part of the entire interview where the wind really picks up.

Not sure why so many people rag on Rodgers about ego and attitude. He's a driven, great athlete who works at a high level. Seems like a decent person who has to endure criticism on every facet of his life. Glad he is our QB. Should be a good year.

The same reason a lot of people rag on successful people - jealousy, envy.

Really enjoyed listening to AR and hearing his comments on MLF, the defense, Turner, Woodson, Aaron Donald, audibles, and the run game. Great to hear him speak of wanting to be coached and of his excitement for this season.
I deleted my BR app over a year ago because of Simm’s barrage of vulgarity and political meltdowns. He can hardly get through a segment without dropping a few f bombs. I respect his knowledge of the game, just wish he would tame his tongue a bit.

Razer! You are spot on, exactly my sentiments. Being in the limelight, folks have to endure the media blitz and AR does it so well from locker room interviews to post game. He is articulate and if you listen closely has humility (much like Payton) who often praises those around him. Lastly, if you listen to his teammates, he has their utmost respect, but it's not only what he accomplishes on the field but surely his superb leadership. The best fan base is sports is truly blessed & grateful Aaron Rodgers is a Packer!

That sounded like a QB that's bought into a new system and is excited to execute it. More rushing attempts and involving the RBs into the pass game will pay dividends. So will Turner blocking according to Rodgers.
The D will.be much improved. I'm excited about this up coming season.
Rodgers seemed more winded as he was talking than Simms was? Also,.Aaron looks 5-10 pounds heavier than last year? Probably just the camera . Training camp will thin him out. Go Pack!

Every time I hear Rodgers talk about Billy Turner, I get more and more excited about how good this O-Line can be. As Rodgers said, he gives "Props" to Turner every time he can. Can't wait to see him the RG spot fixed for the first time since TJ left.

Well, after the cluster the O line turned into for the second straight year, I be happy with a veteran signing in way before the first game.......

Chris Simms is such a fawning fanboi to great players. And then he punches down on players when they make mistakes... can't stand listening to him talk. This interview was great to listen to ARod's knowledge, but man... sometimes his ego is hard to swallow. Many of the greats are that way.... But Chris Simms? STHU.

There are two color announcers I truly dislike. One is coaching the Raiders (Mark Davis is his father son). The other, STHU. (which was I was yelling during the telcast when my wife turn off the TV and said........-:)

Everyone recognizes now how to use the ground for power. This is really key in golf, baseball, and quarterbacking. The source of power in all these sports is a combo of using the ground properly and natural rotational speed.

Great interview but not gonna lie, he jumped off giving his family any credit a little too quickly at the beginning there lol

He doesn’t like them much. It’s the same way I my family. I succeeded in spite of, not because of, them. Haven’t talked to them in years.

Certainly you wouldn’t get any athleticism from your parents....lol...that said a lot has come from his dedication towards greatness. Ego or not I’m happy he’s a Packer. Great video.

Best interview I've heard in a long time. No problem with Simms as he played the game for years and has insights none of the other talking heads can claim. Asked the right questions and Rodgers didn't hold back. This interview should be exciting news to any Packer fan. As far as his family is concerned, that's none of our business. Fired up for the season to begin!

We still have a lot of fans that don't believe that Aron is smart enough to pick up Matts system. I gather that Matt Ryan can be great In Matts system but Aron wont. I believe Aron is a better Quarter back and will pick up Matts offense.

Like some others I am not a fan of Sims. Yet this was a decent interview. He panders a bit but I think that it made Rodgers more comfortable with the questions. Aaron has been burned a few times with the interpretation of his answers so his responses were good to hear.
