Packers are going to win comfortably tonight. I feel it.

I predict a Time Of Knockout (that point where we have more points than they end up with) will be sometime in the 2nd quarter.

Someone told me Doubs wouldn't be 3rd WR in catches this year. He missed 4 games and still might. The guy he liked is playing for Houston now. But he was drafted higher.

You are kind of an annoyance sometimes, particularly on this point.

Doubs isn't going to be the #3 in catches this year, as I stated.
He did get hurt and miss time, as I told you.
He didn't get 50 catches for 500 yards, as I told you.

Amari Rodgers was a third round pick. You don't give up on a Day 2 pick after one season unless you are a bad organization, that collectively drafted a guy so horrible that you admit a mistake after one year, but he was given multiple opportunities this season and didn't succeed. He's doing fine in Houston, however.

BTW, with Amari Rodgers as our returner, we had back to back 13 win seasons. With the Mighty Nixon, we're a sub.500 team. Which kind of proves my point about the importance of returns in the first place, doesn't it?

Do you think you can move on to something else now, or is perseveration your main trick?

I will as soon as you admit you were wrong. You said Amari would have a better season than Romeo simply because he was drafted a round earlier. That was silly then and looks much sillier now. BTW you said Amari would finish 4th in catches when I said there was a good chance Romeo could finish as the 3rd Most Productive WR, not necessarily in catches. Right now he's 3rd in catches and TDs and just behind Cobb for 3rd in yards among WRs. I think it's extremely possible he finishes as the 3rd most productive WR. Probable even.

Admit you were wrong and I'll drop it.

So, we release Sammy Watkins so that we can have 7 guys who can play tackle on the roster?...3 of them inactive, NFI, or NOT planning to play him/them? Watkins may not be our #1,2,3,4 receiver, but 2 tds last game due to his blocking. This is better blocking than we have been receiving from 2 of the 4 TEs playing for this team. I just hope it was Sammy's wish to join another Team. And this is no disrespect to Patrick Taylor. Dude needs to be on this roster.

2nd point and would like your opinion, Slayton and Wyatt have ranked better than our starters via PFF the last couple of game. Albeit, they have played far fewer plays than our starters. Doesn't make sense to give them more plays resting our starters? Our D-line has looked woefully tired in the 4th quarters this year, and I would rather keep our starting D-line fresh by practicing a sound rotation.

Well, the Rams had two good plays on their first possession, did not cross midfield, and ending up punting from their own 40. That's a win.

But we do get a first down on the completion to Doubs.

Seriously ugly pick. Total miscommunication between Rodgers and Lazard.

December 19, 2022 at 07:48 pm

The television narrative is that the pick was a miscommunication, which is bullshit, because if Lazard had been where Rodgers threw the ball he'd have had a defender all over him. He was open where he was, and if the ball had been there, it would have been a completion to a wide open receiver.

Rodgers clearly expected Lazard to keep running, but he would have run right into the safety. Not sure why Rodgers didn't see the safety, but that was on Rodgers, not Lazard.

The problem is that the ball was already in the air when Lazard stopped. Receivers are coached not to stop. Lazard totally blew the play. The Safety saw Lazard stop and made his move. It's not on Rodgers if you understand football and know what you're watching besides allowing hate to interpret what happens on the field.

Wow Since'61! Having a bad day?

I don't hate Rodgers and have said that many times.

It's on Rodgers to see the safety over the top and expect Lazard to adjust his route, just as Rodgers expects his receivers to adjust routes to the coverage. Lazard saw the safety, Rodgers apparently didn't. I would also note that is not just my opinion. HOF QB and announcer Troy Aikman saw much the same thing.

I agree, Guam. Lazard saw the defensive scheme and made the appropriate route adjustment. I still think drafting Love was an immense mistake and is likely the biggest obstacle to GB winning a SB in 2021. That said, AR should have seen the defense and known that his veteran WR would make the adjustment and sit in the zone. Ball has to be on Lazard, not leading him.

I didn't like the Love choice when it was made and have long believed that an additional #1 and #4 could have made the difference in a couple of these NFCCG games. However that is water under the bridge at this point - the Packers have Love and a 39 year old starting QB now. Which one is the future?

Turnover didn't change much becoz rams started in their own 30-35 yds. Not much than their previous possessions. But agreed scoring only 10 points against this rams defense at home is not good if this team is aspiring to stay alive winning out the remaining games. Not a great Sign.

Do I even want to check and see how many times Aaron Jones and Christian Watson touched the ball this half? I'm only asking because they're our two chief offensive ball movers.

Jones, 7 touches for 60 yards. What are we saving him for?? Give him the freakin' ball and block somebody.

Maybe it's the rope a dope strategy, and we're wearing them out while we wait to strike

13 rushes, 15 pass attempts. 46.4% to 53.6%. 3 touches by the RBs (edit: 3 receptions by the RBs among those 15 attempts). GB just did not run many plays in the first half: the percentages are run and RB heavy.

Shanahan called a timeout with 1:48 left in the half on a 3rd and 13. Guess he thought he'd get a four-man rush. I guess he knew he'd get soft, off coverage.

Check.
Check.
Easy pitch and catch.

It's almost disrespectful. And kind of funny. GB sent Quay. Preston has 3 QB hits. Not enough consistent pressure, but they manage to get pressure at times.

Why is the schedule such that the Packers are playing on a short week because the league scheduled them to extend their bye week by one day? And the short week has them traveling to Miami. Also Miami is on a long week as they played on Saturday.
